Really good food and excellent friendly service, I have eaten here many times. Of course the Cod and chips is my favorite choice, the gambas and the scallops are excellent .

Have to be honest ............... the evening was so lovely we choose to use the linked chip shop sitting outside and eating them there. I did use the facilities in the restaurant and was impressed by the decor and the air conditioning. The food from the chip shop, which I can only assume was the same as you would get in the restaurant, was superb and we would recommended this to others.

Great fish & chips every visit although we ordered haddock and were given cod by mistake. We'll pay more attention next time! Still the best chippy in London.

I was not over impressed the chips where had cut but slightly wooden and the fish was fresh but clearly cooked from frozen. Not the quality I remembered from past visits.

Wasn't served for 30 minutes. Water was rarely refilled. Aside from that the food was great and a dish was even replaced when we discovered there was garlic (which we're allergic to) in it.

Soup and grilled fish was delicious. The experience was somewhat ruined by children running around, shouting and crying at 9pm but the restaurant offered us a complimentary hot drink to compensate. The lighting was too bright.

Lovely restaurant with tender fish. There's a chippy at the front with a decent restaurant and the back. Fish can be ordered battered or grilled

It has been many years since I last visited the Sea Shell, we bought friends from Germany on Saturday. The food was excellent but we had to wait sooooo long for our starters - we asked what had happened to them. There was only one portion of Rock Salmon when we ordered three so two of us had to make another choice - the waitress suggested Halibut but failed to mention it was one of the most expensive items on the menu - £26.50 per person as opposed to £18 for the Rock!!!! When my Halibut arrived it was not cooked enough as still very pink in one part with blood running - quite turned me off but frankly we had waited so long we just wanted to eat and so I left the uncooked portion. In summary - DISAPPOINTED. We MAY try again.

Food was so so. Service was ok. Nothing speculation or particularly memorable. Both food and service seem worse than when I was there three years ago.

Lovely food. Service for main course was a little slow which would not have been a problem if we hadn't been going to the theatre.

Simply best fish and chips in town. Always fresh and tasty. But also try the other things on the menus. The prawns, the sole and the lobster. Delicious.

We have been to the Seashell a number of times, both to the take-away and the actual restaurant. This is, without doubt, no ordinary fish & chip restaurant as the fish it sells is first rate and it chips are delicious, not greasy, soft on the outside and fluffly on the inside. If you order the battered or grilled fish and chips then you will not regret it! Fish comes with a choice of different batters, and popcorn is a great favourite. This time around I tried the fish cakes and they were a huge disappointment and didn't takes very nice. The fishcakes were served sitting in a pool of green sauce which covered the plate and that tasted unpleasant too. I think I was more cross with myself rather than the restaurant - I should have stuck to what the Seashell does best. The restaurant is not cheap but the portions are large and for chip lovers everywhere 'bottomless chips', i.e. if you finish your dish of chips then you can have this refilled without charge. If you love your fish and chips then the Seashell is definitely the best and we will be back very soon.

The food was good, with generous portions. However we had to wait a long time for the first and then for the second courses despite asking at appropriate intervals when they would arrive. The staff apologised but we were anxious as we had to reach a nearby theatre before curtain up.

Great fish and chips, especially the grilled whole plaice. We arrived early and were given a table within 10 minutes. Unfortunately, it was adjacent to the aquarium (nice) but very cramped and hot - there's air conditioning in the rest of the restaurant, but not in this area. Would ask for a table in the main area next time.
