The service was excellent and the food good. There was a lively atmosphere, the restaurant is quite noisy so not somewhere if you want a quiet night.

The fish was fantastic but the service so awful that at times we were convinced we were on candid camera. It was our first visit and we had taken overseas guests so we were a bit embarrassed. I think they should probably stick to the takeaway side of the business. Go and get the fish to takeaway but eat in at your own risk!!

We had best fish and chips which we've ever had. Staff were kind and the atmosphere was also good. We were able to dine very comfortably. We would like to visit this restaurant again.

A friend visiting from abroad wanted fish and chips, and the Seashell was the obvious choice. I had never eaten in the restaurant before, though I have had takeaway in the past. It was a very positive experience - particularly the 'bottomless' chips and the charming staff, and all more elegant than I had expected. It was also a little more expensive than I had expected -- cod+bottomless chips at £15.95, for instance -- but it's a London restaurant, after all, and definitely a place to put on the list, especially as it's not far from my home.

Simple, tasty, inexpensive food, always beautifully cooked. Great scallops. Leisurely atmosphere and no bug rush to get us through our meal and out of the restaurant.

Very friendly, lively and comfortable. Great staff and the fish and chips were excellent. Can't complain about anything except to say it is a little on the pricey side, but nothing outrageous.

This is trully a lovely fish and chip restaurant to experience some lovely fish dishes as a starter and main course. The waitress was very helpful despite it being Friday busy. We certainly enjoyed our 5th wedding anniversary as somewhere relaxed and unstuffy cheers

We Return to the Seashell everytime when we're in London. Friendly service and best fish 'n chips in town. Always absolutely fresh and juicy. Also try the other dishes, whole lobster e.g.

I took a group of American visitors who wanted to sample English Fish & Chips and we were all disappointed in that the battered fish was soft and very thin and the chips were only just warm, obviously been cooked earlier and kept warm in the cooking range. I expected freshly cooked fish & chips. I ordered a plate of Whitebait and this was almost thrown at me and some ended up on the floor, no effort was made to replace the lost whitebait

Service speedy for a group of 11. Staff very friendly and food good. Probably the best fish and chips away from the sea side. Very handy for Marylebone rail station.

Inside well furnished, seats and tables comfortable. Staffs were professional, and the foods were great as usual. I wish they had a little more selection of beer, especially ales.

The staff are pleasant enough and the fish delicious but if you didn't want conventional fish and chips, salmon was off, rock salmon was off, sea bass was off - leaving only exceptionally expensive Dover Sole at over £30 a portion. Delicious but still... and staff rigid. If you wanted vegetables not salad or chips, they charged extra. So, given unexciting chips (though delicious home made crisps on the table when we arrived) it was an expensive and not quite tip-top enough meal out. But the fish itself is brilliant.

The fish and chips were very good, and the staff pleasant and accommodating. However, the wine was not properly chilled, and the scampi was more breadcrumbs and less scampi! overall we enjoyed it though!
