Dear diners, please be aware that reservations must be made least one day in advance.
Housed within a building dating back to 1654, The Ship Inn in Southampton has been restored to show off its original features, such as the beautiful Inglenook fireplaces and oak beaming. The perfect place for a cosy pub lunch, a special evening meal or a few pints with friends in Redbridge, The Ship Inn has become a fixture in the area and you’ll find it located on Old Redbridge Road. From traditional British classics like the homemade steak and ale pie, to juicy steaks and burgers and other favourites like hunter’s chicken (chicken breast wrapped in bacon topped with bbq sauce and mozzarella cheese served with fresh vegetables and chips) and plenty of veggie-friendly options like spinach and mushroom lasagne, there’s something to suit all tastes and occasions on the menu.
This was the forth time we attended The Ship Inn on Tuesday for the quiz and a meal. On each occasion the food, staff and atmosphere were all very good as is was the quiz.
This is a regular haunt for me as the food and service are very good. The food is plentiful and typical pub grub. The staff are always very helpful and although busy the food arrived in a timely fashion. Parking can be an issue at this very popular location.
The staff were friendly, food was good and there was plenty on the plate . A quaint little pub with lots of character. Will be eating there again.
