Booked Soulville for a family get together, we loved the lively atmosphere & good music, ordered the three course menu which was really good value and the food was great. The staff were friendly & helpful, all in all a great place to eat.
Good food, good atmosphere, good service! The restaurant has a good selection of soul music playing but conversation is still easy. Steaks are quality and generous.
Perfectly cooked food and friendly helpful staff.looking forward to next time. Didn't try the desserts as was stuffed but hope to try them next time.
It was big Bill Shakespeare who said if music be the food of love, play on, but at the Soulville Steakhouse on Chesterfield’s South Street, it is love of food and music that keeps them going. Chesterfield’s premier steakhouse is all about grilling the meat, and the tunes are all about moving the feet, with a soundtrack of exclusively soul classics. The restaurant is dotted with original Wurlitzer jukeboxes – free to use, of course – so you can pick your favourite track and let them deal with the rest.
Steakhouse food is often quite simple. You pick your favourite cut, how you want it cooked, and leave the rest to the professionals. At Soulville Steakhouse though, it doesn’t end there. They complement the beef with an extensive repertoire of hits, from other grill favourites like gammon and chicken to ribs, fish & chips and even a sop to vegetarians in the form of goat’s cheese flan and a Moroccan aubergine stew. If you’re dining out in Chesterfield town centre, make sure you book ahead at this South Street steakhouse – else you’ll be left dancing in the street with nowhere to run.
