The Sparling

This was our first visit to the sparling where we had a Beautiful meal that was reasonably priced! Staff were very friendly and service was first class will be back to try the tapas!!

Great food and choice of food is excellent. Whilst it was good service there was too much attentiveness with constant interruptions to eating and talking throughout the whole meal from many different staff. I find it too invasive. Apart from this we will be returning

We chose from the Christmas lunch menu as there was such a good selection. The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful .... will definitely be going again thank you.

A very busy night with a wonderful atmosphere. The food as always was excellent, the ribeye steak on the bone is to die for. Highly recommended.

The menu is comprehensive and varied. The service was good, with polite, friendly staff. The Christmas decorations were tasteful. The restaurant is always chilly though.

Service pretty poor, 1 starter came out as the sharer between the other 3 on the table had been put through as a main. Had to chase for our food, complimentary prosecco for inconvenience. I swapped potatoes on my main, came out with wrong potatoes. Did change when requested. Food was nice.

Compliments to the chef, the food was delicious and well served. The staffs are pleasant and approachable, very much appreciated 😊 Definitely coming back again.

Excellent selection of dishes from various Mediterranean cultures, choice greatly assisted by knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended the Greek platter starter followed by a selection of tapas.

Returned to The Sparling last evening for a casual meal while visiting Preston. Service and food were certainly as expected and excellent. We both had the Sea Bass which was served with a new potato mash (which was perhaps a little heavy) but overall a quality meal. Recommend the chipolatas as a snack starter. Wine prices very fair. Will come again.

Lovely food, great atmosphere. Will definitely be back. Staff were very polite and professional. Perhaps the signing for the entrance to the car park could be more visible and lit up?

My starter, Chicken Livers , was very indifferently presented. Tasted absolutely fine. Main Course, Pork Belly was lovely but very big. If you want a small portion think twice. My partners starter, Pate, was much appreciated. Her main, Lamb Tagine again was very big and lovely. Service was erratic. They seemed to have a wave of orders running through that weren't quite being coped with. We weren't in a rush so not a big issue. Service in terms of looking after you indifferent had to ask for top up drinks. Felt they were understaffed. The staff were fine.

Visited the Sparling on Friday evening and tried the tapas menu. Portions really generous and tasty. Service was very friendly, food arrived in a timely manner and great atmosphere.

The food was very good, service was prompt and attentive. Lovely atmosphere and nicely decorated space. Staff did every thing to make sure we were happy with our experience.

Good service. Excellent Sunday lunch and good value. The restaurant was busy with a lively buz and great atmosphere. Glad we booked online or we probably wouldn't have got a table. Will definitely return.
