We count The Spotted Dog as one of our favourite places to eat. Anita and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Food always excellent and atmosphere is calm and welcoming. Will continue dining here for as long as Anita and Simon are there.

An excellent evening - we hadn't been for a couple of years but when a 25% off voucher came through our door we decided to go and we weren't disappointed. A warm, friendly welcome on arrival and starters and main courses were first class. And, our voucher was returned to us so we could use it again. Couldn't fault it. Carole & David, Great Dunmow

A friendly, warm pub, the main course was excellent, the puddings good. The service was considerate, they made sure you were Ok without bothering you. An enjoyable evening.

Went for lunch with 2 friends. ~Received a warm welcome from Simon and Anita. All three of us thought the food was excellent and my Pear dessert was sensational. Anita was a delightful host. All three of us will definitely return, a most enjoyable experience.

Superb restaurant with good menu choice and a great 'set menu' choice at £16.95/head. Friendly and welcoming staff. We meet friends here as the location is half way and we have never been disappointed.

The food as ever was very tasty last night to celebrate my husbands birthday with family. Nice atmosphere and very polite staff. The sauces as ever made the dishes. Will be back again soon.

Very pleasant surroundings. Good food. Warm, friendly and efficient service. Nothing further to add. Car parking more than adequate. No intrusive music in the background. All in all, a pleasant experience.

Extensive menu so spoilt for choice. Good quality food served by very pleasant staff. As it was busy for a Wednesday lunchtime the ambience was excellent.
