Best Sunday roast I’ve had in a long time! Fantastic portion and balance of veg/meat - all cooked to perfection! Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was great. Will definitely be going back when I’m next in the area.

Amazing great food but had to correct twice the bill as been charged drinks we didn’t have, better to confirm with customers first what was ordered rather than handing out the bill along with the card machine. Thank you.

Lovely restaurant but very busy. The 2 steaks for £45 Wednesday deal draws in a lot of custom, great for the business but did mean we had to wait over an hour for our main. Thankfully when it arrived it was delicious. Cooked just how we asked, juicy and big! With a side of chips and vegetables. The deal also includes a bottle of red wine. Our waiter completely understood and was very apologetic. We would definitely return but expect to wait

My companion approved of the food, as did I. Good recipes, delicious. Though the apple crumble was delightful, it needed more crumble. We'll be back.

Great Sunday lunch and service except the roast potatoes weren't crispy on the outside.

Nice atmosphere, but in general all the food was overcooked/burnt.

Staff was friendly but we waited an hour for two club sandwich (which were good!). they apologised for the wait and took our beers of the bill so overall good but could do better , maybe a mishap

We are regulars All was great, but the waiter was rushed off his feet as not enough staff so had to wait long time for drinks, and we felt sorry for him as not his fault& he did a great job. food was great and vibe with happy hour drinks :)

Everything excellent - staff, food and loved Happy Hour! Happened to have a voucher which is a genius idea as encouraged myself and family to come to The Stonhouse - we will be back!! Only comment is music was just a bit too loud but we I think we were the oldest in the pub! Keep up the good work.

I have eaten here many times, they do what they do very well. I marked it down for my last visit because it felt chilly in the room as they had neglected to light the log fire beforehand

Another great lunch at this really warm and friendly bar restaurant. The menu at lunchtime has plenty of if choice and I went for the fish and chips which was a good size portion so really good value.

We recently visited Stonehouse gastro pub to celebrate my wife’s 75th birthday, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place for this special occasion. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality, and the exceptional service continued throughout our meal. The food was absolutely superb—beautifully presented, full of flavour, and cooked to perfection. Every dish we ordered exceeded our expectations, and it was clear that great care and attention had been put into both the ingredients and preparation. The menu offered a fantastic variety, ensuring there was something for everyone. The service was equally outstanding. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly welcome. They went the extra mile to ensure my wife’s birthday was a special one, which we truly appreciated. The ambience was delightful—cosy, relaxed, and perfect for a celebratory meal. It’s rare to find a place that delivers excellent food, impeccable service, and a great atmosphere, but Stonehouse does it effortlessly. We’ll certainly be returning and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. Five stars all the way!

Sometimes the restaurant can be a bit noisy, so in Summer is is great to be able to sit outside in the garden.
