A very enjoyable Mother's Day lunch. We had very good food as well as friendly and very attentive service. Recommend highly and will return for sure.

We're big fans on the Avalon and Abbeville, so thought we give the Stonhouse a try. We ate around 7pm on a Sunday. The roast chicken had obviously been kept warm since lunchtime as it was so dry it was impossible to swallow. Roast potatoes were barely cooked too and certainly not crispy from being cooked in the goose fat they promised. Desert wasn't much better, I ordered apple and rhubarb crumble. This consisted of fruit that had been stewed so much is was more like a purée. I'm pretty sure the crumble topping was crushed up biscuits, sprinkled over the top. All in all disappointing. Good point the Proseco was great.

Great food, service and atmosphere. Had the chateaubriand, and it was perfectly cooked. Service accomplished, friendly and efficient waitress. Will be back very soon for more.

Our experience was just average. The pub was lovely as was the garden but the service was slow and the food was a mixture of good and pre-prepared reheated (sides). If the prices were lower I would come again or I would come for a drink but not necessarily for a meal at the current prices.

Excellent steak. Overall really recommended, great place, good atmosphere. Would definitely come again. Staff were friendly and helpful. Am now typing in words to get over the limit.

Had a nut roast and it was verging on inedible. The roast potatoes & parsnips weren't cooked and the nut bake was totally over cooked. Will not be returning!

Really good food however quite noisy if you want to have an intimate dinner anytime after 8pm. Steak is what they're renowned for and this was really tasty and the staff were knowledgeable about the menu.

Great pub food and service. The choice on the menu changes but there is always a great selection and our favourites always available. We alsolutely love the Stonhouse it's one of our favourite pubs. Can't wait for our next visit.

We had a GREAT time celebrating my birthday at the Stonhouse all afternoon and evening, they were really accommodating to specific dietary requirements and included special dishes on the menu for the day for me - in fact I ended up eating THREE meals there that day in a nine-hour session - about thirty of us came and went, most ate, everyone drank, everyone had a lovely time and the staff were terrific, patient and cheerful at all times, the food was excellent and plentiful - perfect birthday afternoon!

Excellent as usual. Varied menu with a number of specials available. Nice decor, pleasant staff and not over priced. I have dined here a number of times and always good

A very pleasant spot for a quick lunch with friends

Had to wait 15 minutes for cocktails to arrive and they brought our wine and asked if we wanted to try it whilst we were waiting for cocktails. They did apologise and did remove the service charge from the bill.
