Despite being late for our reservation, we were well served and well fed. This is a great place for meeting up with friends, with a relaxed convivial atmosphere, un-hurried service and a menu to suit everyone.

Total meal for six was outstanding and the pork belly specifically terrific. Eager to go back and try other dinner options. I would recommend this restaurant

Lovely atmosphere! The staff is polite and friendly as always, is my favourite place to bring my family!

Lovely meal. Excellent service from very friendly staff. Slight delay with table becoming available however we were made to feel very welcome with continuous updates as to when our table will be available.

A friendly and accommodating service was given by the staff. We all had the Beef Sunday roast which was excellent. Then only negative was the dense yorkshire pud.

Very good service and nice pub style food. This is a restaurant with table service in a pub environment. Some tables are a bit small but there was a care taken throughout the experience here. Certainly above average for this category

Stonehouse is great. Amazing food, lovely ambience and excellent service. It's ideal for catch up meals with friends, family dinners and even a date. Highly recommended.

-VE - noisy, below average services didn't bother to fill your glasses from a fresh bottle of wine +VE - food is ok but inconsistent

Nice pub and friendly staff. Initially the roast beef dinners looked huge, but the slices of beef layered on top of the vegetable and potatoes are very thin and therefore I was diappointed with the small amount of meat. The yorkshire puddings looked great but werent actually that nice. Sorry!

Nice place and good food. My burger arrived a bit cold but the staff decided to take it off the bill! Always nice to get freebies ! Staff is nice and very friendly

Food was very good as always especially the steak. Service was good but initially waited for our initial drinks order to be taken, however we were sat round the side from the bar.

Food was good and serice OK although we were not offered the desert menu until we asked. I would recommend. Nice lively atmosphere,but noisey at times. Make a reservation as does get really busy.

We were very pleased as ever with the charming service and the relaxed atmosphere, but the steak and chips fell well below the norm: cold soggy chips that had been hanging around, tough rather burnt steaks - the duck and lamb went down well though. We heard rumour that a new chef was in the kitchen that Tuesday night so let's hope he picks up a few tips from the usually excellent chef! The Puglia red wine was yummy.

Nice little pub. Staff were polite not but not exactly a 'laugh a minute' so to speak. I had the burger and unfortunately the bun was stale- but the burger itself was nice Couple of friends had the chateaubriand which was apparently amazing (also looked amazing).and another had fish and chips (heard no complaints so must have been yummy). I would defiantly come back here, nice atmosphere, nice food and nice staff.

We booked for a large table of 14 people, which The Stonhouse were happy to accommodate. I realise a large table is quite difficult to serve well, but we were all very happy with the level of service and the food was excellent as always!

1st time visit although I am local. Had a saturday evening to myself so booked a table. Excellent friendly service. Typical gastro pub type dinner - place very popular and busy, very good drinks and plenty of choice. Food more limited in choice predictable, and possibly a bit unmemorable but reasonable quantity. Yes worth visiting.

The food was very good. Service was good. The waitress was very good when I was asking questions related to some allergies I have. It was a bit loud but to be expected on a busy night during the holidays. Overall a good experience!

Juicy steaks, great chips, strong Bloody Mary, yummy pudding and friendly service a perfect start to 2016. A real fire too! Busy and a little noisy but very jolly!

We came with 4 adults and on child. Service was very attentive andnthenquality of the food was good. The staff made sure that our child got her food together with the starters.

Always good atmosphere, nice food and fairly good service: they got the order wrong by forgetting a few items but very quick to fix with a smile. Very good wine list. One of my favourite places.

The atmosphere and service was good, and the Sunday roast ok. Has a nice garden bar if the weather is good enough to sit outside.

I always enjoy going to the Stonhouse. But sadly on this occasion my steak ale pie was very over done and very dry. Service and drink were lovely.

Good food and service. Felt it harsh that we were shoved in the corner because the rugby was on. We booked weeks in advanced as we had a largish group with kids, so probably deserved to be given a better table.

Service was excellent and the food was delicious. We had the seabass and a burger - both big portions and came quickly. We come to the Stonhouse regularly - friendly staff and a great, cosy pub atmosphere.

Yummy fish and chips and lovely outdoor seating area which is heated so even great for winter. Reasonbly priced and was nice and quiet for a Saturday afternoon

Nice atmosphere and good food with great service. They were very attentive and considered my allergies seriously. Definitely worth a trip especially with a taste card!
