About The Tap Room
About the restaurant
When talking about good local pubs in Hamilton’s town centre with a whole lot of character, it’s very hard not to talk about The Tap Room on Burnbank Road. With friendly staff, a warm atmosphere, quiz or karaoke nights and a bar with more beer, wine and spirit choices than you could count, The Tap Room appears every bit the classic British pub. However, the food they serve up here is not so classic – it’s several dozen notches above normally expected pub grub. Take their lunches, for example, which go from exquisite versions of British classics (like breaded scampi or homemade steak pie) to a soft tortilla wrap filled with serrano ham, red pepper pesto, buffalo mozzarella & salad. Come evening, you can enjoy an amazing meal at The Tap Room – how does this sound: coriander, lime and chicken meatballs, followed by a fillet of salmon in a tarragon and caper cream sauce finished off by profiteroles with fresh strawberries and cream?
