About The Tap Room
When talking about good local pubs in Hamilton’s town centre with a whole lot of character, it’s very hard not to talk about The Tap Room on Burnbank Road. With friendly staff, a warm atmosphere, quiz or karaoke nights and a bar with more beer, wine and spirit choices than you could count, The Tap Room appears every bit the classic British pub. However, the food they serve up here is not so classic – it’s several dozen notches above normally expected pub grub. Take their lunches, for example, which go from exquisite versions of British classics (like breaded scampi or homemade steak pie) to a soft tortilla wrap filled with serrano ham, red pepper pesto, buffalo mozzarella & salad. Come evening, you can enjoy an amazing meal at The Tap Room – how does this sound: coriander, lime and chicken meatballs, followed by a fillet of salmon in a tarragon and caper cream sauce finished off by profiteroles with fresh strawberries and cream?

Great food, great atmosphere and reasonably priced! The service is great too. After dinner we sat in the bar, good music and I would highly recommend the Tap Room.
I had a great night here. Very relaxed with good lively atmosphere. Extremely pleasant, courteous and helpful staff. The food was excellent and the only problem was what to choose and that was from a two course menu for £9.95 but you could have even more choice from their main menu. Food was fresh no microwave suspects. I will be back there!!!!
Went to the Tap Room for lunch yesterday. Ordered lasagne for my daughter and when it came it was all congealed as if it had been reheated and reheated no-one ate it. We also ordered chicken and the chicken was dry and hard to cut. Mash potatoes had a coating on them. Was really disappointed, as the place and staff are lovely
Fantastic night. Food was amazing and the cocktails were the best I'd had. When the bill came we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were attentive and hugely deserving of tip we gave them.
The food was great and the service was even better. We were also offered a deal 2 main courses for £12 which was an added bonus.
Food was very tasty but it was just a rabble could not even hear each other talking so this spoiled it, great service from the staff but not sure if I would hurry back on at Saturday night.
Good choice on menu. Really good prices too. Booked a table online. When we arrived they never had our booking. But seated us swiftly. Both of us enjoyed our meal.
Prompt service. Good food. Enjoyed the dessert. Nice specials. Reasonably priced. Great palce for lunch before going to then football at Accies. And good for a drink after the game,
Food was well presented and very good. Service friendly and welcoming. The general ambience of the Tap Room has improved greatly and hope they continue to provide such good service

Great food. Fab service, great two for 1 menu. Lots of choice on ala carte. Specials menu also on chalk board, with very reasonable prices
Food and service excellent.Just seemed very draughty for some reason so had to eat with my coat on.Would certainly go again but in warmer weather!
