The experience was generally good. The restaurant area was surprisingly empty for a Saturday night. In fact we had the whole restaurant section where we sat to ourselves. The advantage was that it wasn't noisy.

The food was lukewarm. The roast potatoes especially needed to be hotter. The crumble wasn't very crumbly. It was soft. So not impressed with the food. Service was lovely and the ambiance was nice.

Always friendly service and excellent food. A home from home. We love the three crowns!

Food was delicious as usual. Apart from one lovely young waitress, the service was appalling. Table had a big pool of spilled drink, that had clearly not been wiped. When asked for a cloth I went and got it myself. Staff standing around doing nothing and really quite rude. I wish I took the name of the young bubbly girl as she made our experience a pleasant one.

First time visiting. Very pleasantly surprised with the Sunday roast we had. It was well cooked and tasty. The dessert, fruit crumble, was ok, fruit was a little mushy and crumble topping a little soggy with all the custard. Service was excellent and a lovely atmosphere in the pub. Will definitely visit again.

Service was good , food was good, would just say the vegetables were overcooked and the knives could be sharper. I liked that I had the option of a smaller serving. Overall very good, but better cutlery would definitely improve the quality. Staff were lovely and helpful and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We used to visit quite frequently a few years ago, so nice to be back.

Excellent home cooked style 3 course Sunday lunch. We really enjoyed the smaller portion roast lunch with all the trimmings - just right for our appetite.

Late Sunday lunch booked for 4.30 pm. No problem, getting a good meal at that time. Very reasonable and tasty. Friendly service too. Nice garden but there were a lot of wasps. I suppose that's to be expected in Summer and we could have gone inside.
