We moved tables due to an unruly child sitting on next table. Our food was then delivered to another couple not us they actually sent it back as it was cold. Eventually we got ours this was warm but by this time I was starving so ate it. Very embarrassed waiter gave my partner a complimentary eton mess. Cost is quite high so should be served hot. Food was tasty just cold. We have been told previously no dogs allowed in restaurant only front bar well today couple allowed in restaurant with dog as apparently they are friends of the owners. Not good.

Manager was excellent, staff friendly and efficient. Food was top notch. Only criticism was a little bit slow but then it was a Sunday and restaurant was rammed. Definitely will go back.

The waiter was marvellous. Super service from the moment we arrived. We had requested a table in the bar which hadn’t been acknowledged however the waiter was quick to rearrange tables to accommodate us. There was a huge delay of service between courses (the main course was served about 40 minutes after our first course). When it finally did arrive, two courses of sea bass were uncooked. When we returned this to the kitchen they did take them off our bill but were happy to let my daughter go without a main course. Incredible! Such a shame to have to accept this standard of cuisine on a special occasion. We have eaten here before and had the luck to be served good food. Tonight the food was very poor and we are so disappointed as we chose to eat at the three tuns to celebrate a special occasion with friends and family. However poor the standard of food was, the service was super.

We spent a very cosy evening there, quiet but lively at the same time, the diner room and atmosphere is very typical of an ancient pub. The staff was always helpful and kind. The food was excellent and very fresh. Exactly what we were looking for.

Really lovely staff and food. The setting is tasteful but chilled. Portion sizes were a little on the small side, but that meant I could comfortably have three courses.

Thought portion sizes for accompaniments were small. Potatoes with lamb should have been sauted but were not - did not make a fuss as out for a birthday lunch. Lamb was OK but was not pink - would have been better pink. Puddings good. Overall, not rushing to return, though not bad.
