Enjoyed the meal but not the 45 minute wait with no apology.
One of the great restaurant rooms in London. but the food is very mediocre. Out of a limited range of wines on the menu a third was not available.
The vegetarian selection is limited and could be improved. The rest of the menu I believe to be good. Service good, place and location fantastic.
easy booking system, excellent service, very friendly staff, great food, location lovely ,just the sea bass had too much soy sauce making the dish very salty, chef was advised of this and apology given.
Good was not as good as usual but maybe it was because they are busy with the Christmas menu too
Good food and a great location. Service a bit slow.
Way too expensive for what it was, I would have been happy paying half the price. Yorkshire puddings were obviously from a packet. Very disappointing considering the good reviews.
Service was slow but friendly , took an age to order a bottle of wine and the selection was poor. Food was was good but not outstanding. There seemed a lack of staff which may explain the slow service. I think compared to other bistro pubs they are lacking but I would go again.
Very friendly service. Excellent kitchen. Would definitely visit again in the near future.
Excellent service!! Amazing food! Table by the window with tall ships and fireworks- a perfect evening!
Lovely food and more than generous portions. On the day we visited the restaurant was very busy and there was a considerable wait for our food. However, the staff were very apologetic and we were given free drinks to make up for the wait so it did not spoil the experience. The view from the large windows over the river was a good one and the tables were well spaced out so it was comfortable.
Ambience and view over river excellent but the food left a lot to be desired. I had the lamb roast - not cheap at £16.50 - but I'm afraid, it fell well below standard, the vegetables in particular were dehydrated and tasteless! Having said that, it was very busy because the Tall Ships festival was on and we ate at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. I would go back there and give the food another try. If you just a drink in a nice atmosphere in a pub steeped in history then I would highly recommend a visit.
Shockingly awful service, high prices, got charged for a Yorkshire pudding , wines not available from wine list, staff who can't understand simple orders. Just rubbish! Go elsewhere! Seriously.
Lovely restaurant. Shame about the scaffold. Also when asked to swap potatoes for chips told not possible, had to order as separate side. Seemed ridiculous. All else good.
Can't believe we were ask to leave as someone had book table after us we had just spent £97 won't go back again
Excellent staff. Great food and ambience. Super location. Very pleasant evening.
Had a great Sunday lunch overlooking the Thames. Nice atmosphere.
Very pleasant, nice vibes, good starter and nice to see frites on the menu, very nice bearnaise with my steak
We say outside in the sunshine, which was nice, apart from the extensive display of scaffolding covering the fascia. However, the real issue was the food. We both opted for the Sunday roast -beef for me, lamb for my friend. They were visually identical and we're still not entirely sure whether the lamb was actually lamb! The beef was plentiful but leathery and lukewarm with little flavour and much chewing required. Blunt knives did not aid the process of turning these meaty slabs into edible mouthfuls. The worlds tiniest Yorkshire pudding sat atop the meat; beneath, limp vegetables and thin yellowish gravy. Not impressive and at £17:50 for the beef, you'd expect excellence. Won't be back unless they hire a new chef.
A bit expensive but great food! £8.50 for a large glass of wine!
Really nice, food and wine was great the only thing I would say was we were seating right at the end with not much atmosphere and we were entertaining family from outside London. But didn't matter much this time as we had lots to catch up on.
A very enjoyable experience all round, with very good choice of food
Good food, reasonable service but slow on attention to detail (e.g. no steak knives provided until we'd almost finished our meals, no spoon provided for one of the first courses which required one, slow to appreciate when more drinks were required). Just little things like that but when you add them together.... Still, overall it was a better experience than the previous time we went there.
Great venue, pleasant waiting staff, good food. Unfortunately the canned music is just so intrusive. The meal would be a much better experience without it.
Great lovely location to relax in a friendly environment after a busy day at work you can't fault this place
The service was good Food better than average. The view makes everything more enjoyable and the art on the walls adds to the overall experience
Lovely ambience let down by very average cooking. On this visit most of us had roasts. The meat was reasonably well done but the veg was poorly cooked.
Lovely historic pub with delicious food and great views along the Thames. We were disappointed by the service, which wasn't very attentive, despite it being a quiet Monday night.
Fabulous location, food and service. Reasonable prices too. A cut above the usual London pub restaurant. We were there on a Monday night and it was comfortably busy.
Good Sunday lunch but charged £2 for asking for more gravy! Very poor customer service , meal spoilt by pubs greed . Such a shame
Breakfast at The Trafalgar was very good, will definitely be back! Two of us had the full English breakfast and the sausages were particularly good with a choice of eggs, our daughter had blueberry pancakes with maple syrup and bacon which was also delicious. We had a great table by the window overlooking the Thames. The service was great, relaxed and unobtrusive.
Great roast! Great price. Great location. Funny waitress. Came here for my boyfriends birthday with the family and they all loved the food. Thank you.
Great atmosphere and outstanding food great location to relax after busy day in the office
Dependable quality as always. Great menu choice and prices are very competitive. We will be back and will also try some other branches as well.
Smart comfortable calm good food and good service. Lovely view over Thames. On a hot day it was delightful. Will definitely come again. Well done.
Not as good as previous visits. Food very average, and service below par. Quite disappointed. Mushy peas are supposed to be marrowfat peas and not garden peas crushed up. Your chef should know that
Fantastic classy pub and restaurant, literally on the Thames with plenty of outdoor seating. Sunday lunch was nice but not as filling as I would expect for £18.
Great place for meeting up with friends after work friendly and welcoming
Had brunch here great good quality food at reasonable prices in the heart of the city
Great find for a lunchtime meal food is outstanding and such a friendly location
