Love this place! Amazing atmosphere and great simple food - would definitely visit again
That was very nice to spend some time in a good company
Always a good brunch experience - we had eggs benedict and amaretto french toast. Good food, decent coffee, fruit smoothie was the only thing below par. Service slowish but friendly and they got our order right first time. Will go again.
Excellent... Really easy & would definitely use it again. Very impressive as I was sceptical that I'd turn up and discover no booking but worked perfectly and definitely recommend !
Very nice ambient and service. The atmosphere was friendly with a good taste for music. we didn't have any problem with the service, food was on time and well done.
The food was quite good, and the service was excellent. It was, on the other hand, quite expensive for a "pub like" restaurant, with prices of about 14 GBP for a burger plus 12.5% service charge included in the bill by default.
Fantastic service, great food, lovely setting. The happy hour cocktails were amazing too!
Lovely venue with a great atmosphere, attentive service and good quality food. The icing on the cake was the music in the cellar. We saw three great bands all of a really high quality . Loved it and will return
We had a fantastic meal, the staff were very friendly, good tunes playing. This is a very charming place with a great atmosphere. Excellent find!
Good food, great service, friendly and helpful staff. Will come again!
Nice overall experience, friendly atmosphere, good customer service and very nice vine. No waiting time and good location. Haven't been downstairs so can not comment on the club.
Ate here last Thursday night. Busy place but great atmosphere. Sadly spoilt by 2 of us waiting nearly 40 minutes for our food and the other 2,nearly an hour. My son and I had virtually finished eating before our friends were served, despite having enquired about where their food was 10 minutes earlier. Pretty fed up with then automatically being charged nearly £10 for the tip when service was so poor and no communication or explanation forthcoming. Food quite nice so sad that we won't be coming back.
Cosy atmosphere. Great food. Lovely staff. I look forward to my next visit. Oh and the online booking system was fab too.
Great service and brunch. Always has a good atmosphere and food very affordable.
We had brunch and were so impressed we came back for dinner. delicious food, great setting and lovely staff. Would happily go back again!
Amazing history and ambience - food not amazing (arrived a little cold / soggy) but its more for the experience than the actual dishes themselves
Very cosy atmosphere, good food and very good service. I strongly recommend this restaurant
Very friendly and accommodating. Nice atmosphere, would definately go again
The Troubador is always wonderful. Great service, lovely staff and always very quick. The food was amazing, and they have one of the best flat whites in London.
Excellent, well-presented food, very friendly and helpful staff, and fascinating surroundings full of antique interest. All round, this was a great experience. We will be back.
Great experience as usual, welcoming staff, they happily accommodated our additional guests
The restaurant is nice if you want to go to the club downstairs afterwards, but there is nothing outstanding about the food or the service.
Our group of seven all enjoyed lunch. The food and the wine and cider were excellent. The service was very good and the ambience great. Good value.
Friendly, fun, atmospheric, busy, great staff, cozy, quirky and good value
Excellent atmosphere, outtstanding food and staff. My party of 3 all had different dishes and enjoyed them immensely., fish & chips witth tasty sweet potato fries, fish pie, and I had muscles and chips. 4We also enjoyed the entertainment after dinner. Thanks very much to Robert and his staff for a wonderful evening out for us.
Great overall in respect to food, service, choice of dishes, and interesting setting. But the music was a bit too loud for a comfortable conversation.
Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff as all always. Good food too
Historical place in a very interesting area. Nice venue . Quiet and cosy for brunch. Service really good. Not pricy. Not exciting food for quality and presentation. Drinks fine.
Loved it! Loved it! What a fabulous restaurant, great atmosphere and delicious food. I'm soooo pleased we found it and will be returning many times. Can't wait to come back!
Great staff, tasty food and accommodated some extra people in our group without any fuss. Welcoming to all ages including our teenagers who came to watch a friend in concert downstairs in the club. Will definitely be going again for a meal and music...
It was a marvelous night. Excelldnt atmosphere , good food and drinks. Friendly service. Only Desserts are not so good and completely overprized. Overall excellent
Very Good food and amazing atmosphere. The waiters are very friendly!
Great food and atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice mix of people in the cafe. Overall impressive. Also nice venue for music downstairs.
Like every year when we are in London is customary dine at The Troubadour. Great welcome, great food, and great ales. Certainly we will be back next year, as always. Bravi
Great atmosphere and food. Service could have been a bit faster.
Great atmosphere, nice reserved table by window - lovely place to go for nibbles and wine. Didn't go downstairs for the live music on this occassion though.
I couldn't have chosen a better venue to use for a birthday celebration, staff were great and very helpful and downstairs in the music room after dinner was a perfect with just the right party style band. Love this place.
Food was about average, pretty busy, and considering the service was quick and efficient.
We've reserved a table for two and were given a tiny table located in the gang way,and kept being disturbed by people passing by. The starters didn't come together. The food was ok but over priced. £60 for 2 starters and two mains...ouch!!!
Terrible food, used to be good but they lost it - expensive too - they put prices up! Avoid the cafe - just go straight to club! Great night over there.
A warm welcome on arrival from the owner, the table was already prepared with a named reservation note on it and we were immediately served with a cocktail which set the tone for the evening. The service was excellent, well paced but not rushed, the atmosphere buzzing and the restaurant full at 6pm on a miserable wet evening. The food is basic but well prepared and presented, with good size portions. All in all a very enjoyable start to a very pleasant evening.
We were there for brunch. The food is really good, the place is really cosy and nice and the staff is really friendly. I will definitively come back to try their diner menu.
Waiter's that served were very nice. 1 lady waitress pushed past me on purpose and gave me a dirty look when i tried to walk past - absolutely unacceptable behaviour
Great staff, good food, pleasantly quirky decor, would definitely recommend.
Fantastic service snd great food, but didn't have two of the wines we wanted so a bit disappointing. Other than that I will definitely go back!
It was good, the staff were fantastic and really cheery on a very rainy day. The atmosphere was relaxed which was nice but also meant a long wait for food and bill and drinks. Maybe I'm too london!
Cheap and cheetful. Service a bit erratic but a good atmosphere and really nice people.
The wine and meal was lovely and the service, excellent. After dinner we went down to The Club room and had a wonderful time there. Will definitely be back some time in the near future!
Food excellent, atmosphere sizzles. We both had lamb shank off the specials menu for the evening and it came with a delicious celeriac mash. The food also proved to be great value. This is not the place for a quiet chat with your nearest and dearest but if you want somewhere with a real buzz and where you can still feel the musical history then it's not to be missed!
Huge portions of food and tasty 2-4-1 cocktails, good value!
