Wine was disappointing, particularly in terms of quality versus pice and need more wines at the lower to mid end of the list. Total bill was far too expensive for a venue with is nice but relatively basic in terms of decor and customer experience. On plus side, friendly staff, buzzy atmosphere and nice food. Good live music.
The wine and meal was lovely and the service, excellent. After dinner we went down to The Club room and had a wonderful time there. Will definitely be back some time in the near future!
Food was about average, pretty busy, and considering the service was quick and efficient.
A warm welcome on arrival from the owner, the table was already prepared with a named reservation note on it and we were immediately served with a cocktail which set the tone for the evening. The service was excellent, well paced but not rushed, the atmosphere buzzing and the restaurant full at 6pm on a miserable wet evening. The food is basic but well prepared and presented, with good size portions. All in all a very enjoyable start to a very pleasant evening.
Waiter's that served were very nice. 1 lady waitress pushed past me on purpose and gave me a dirty look when i tried to walk past - absolutely unacceptable behaviour
Great staff, good food, pleasantly quirky decor, would definitely recommend.
Great night out. Food good, wine good, if a little expensive. We were a group working in London for the weekend and wanted somewhere informal with good food. The Troubadour delivered. We also had great service from a slightly whacky waitress. Fun.
Lovely bohemian venue with great music, out of this world steak and cocktails with a kick!
Warm friendly atmosphere with great staff. Food is tasty but menu is not terribly extensive
Great Atmosphere. Friendly staff. The wine menu was really comprehensive covering New world and old world wines. We ordered some starters which were delicious - particularly the pate.
Food excellent, atmosphere sizzles. We both had lamb shank off the specials menu for the evening and it came with a delicious celeriac mash. The food also proved to be great value. This is not the place for a quiet chat with your nearest and dearest but if you want somewhere with a real buzz and where you can still feel the musical history then it's not to be missed!
We've reserved a table for two and were given a tiny table located in the gang way,and kept being disturbed by people passing by. The starters didn't come together. The food was ok but over priced. £60 for 2 starters and two mains...ouch!!!
I couldn't have chosen a better venue to use for a birthday celebration, staff were great and very helpful and downstairs in the music room after dinner was a perfect with just the right party style band. Love this place.
Love the atmosphere at The Troubadour and they have the best chicken ever - Chicken Soleil - highly recommended. Friendly service, quirky and unusual décor. Only slight draw back is the service can sometimes be slow as they are always so busy. Despite that a fun night out and live music downstairs - to be recommended!
Really nice staff and lovely food! Great atmosphere and drink menu.
Very relaxed environment, friendly and knowledgable wait staff, food of exceptional quality, large servings. Always an enjoyable experience. Especially love the tranquility ofthe garden out the back, when the evening permits.
Great place, good food, great music. Strongly recommended and remember to wear a hat on tuesday night to get your free dessert.
I have been to the Troubadour a few times over the last 7 years and it always was a great experience. Really nice food, friendly staff and a feel-good vibe all over!
Great good, friendly service and good atmosphere. I will be back.
Nice quirky old wine bar with great live music downstairs
Really nice atmosphere, the food was tasty and the staff friendly.
