We were a large party, nothing was too much trouble. Very welcoming and friendly. Food was lovely, would visit again.
It is some 52 years since I last visited and it hadn't changed much except they no longer sell home made wine! The dining room was pretty basic but this was more than offset by the quality and quantity of food, We both had fish & chips and even now, some 19 hours later, I still feel full such was the quality that I didn't want to leave anything. Everything was extremely good value and, judging by other peoples choices, looked extremely appetising. I shall definitely return (a bit sooner than another 52 years!).
Had a great lunch here on May Day bank holiday. Food was excellent (you must try the 9.95 sharing platter, enough starter for 4 of us) and the young lady and young man serving were really nice and helpful. Loved it.
Would go back again. Staff extremely friendly. Ordered food which we didn't have to wait long for. Was piping hot and probably the best Sunday roast weh have had in a while. Great value for money
Very good value for money. We had a delicious traditional Sunday lunch with generous portion sizes and a jug of extra gravy. The meals arrived promptly and the staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
Lovely food and friendly service and staff. Always a pleasure. Refreshingly different from the big chain pub/restaurants. Personal service and time to chat. Go visit, you won't regret it.
Great food, I had minted lamb pie with mash potato topping, my wife had fish pie both excellent with lots of fresh vegetables. Good selection of cask ales.
