Best Sunday Roast in Greenwich. Favourite pub for a relaxing afternoon/evening. Amazing staff. Consistently good. Perfect in the summer for a bottle of wine in the garden and just as good in the winter for a warming roast.

Excellent food and good service, would recommend to others. Slightly more expensive than standard pub fare but high quality throughout. The wild mushroom polenta cake was delicious.

Nice food in a pleasant setting. Garden is great for young children, especially while you're waiting for your food. I will definitely return for another lunch or dinner

We had a lovely family late lunch on Sunday and it did not disappoint. The staff were very helpful and friendly and everyone had a nice meal. We will be back.

Great service and fab Christmas menu. Nothing more to say this silly review system wants 25 words. Only at 17 need a few more. Goodbye

I arranged a Christmas lunch with 2 very fussy eaters. When we left, they both said, "the food was so good in there, good choice!" Points right away there!! I can't tell you how relieved I was, especially after past experiences... I'll spare you the details! The waitress was so patient with the 2 of them and their fussy preferences and was on hand as soon as we needed anything. The decor was beautiful and created the perfect ambiance (this was also complimented by my 2 fussy friends). Thank you for such a wonderful afternoon for our Christmas lunch! I'm glad my friends will also be happy to come back with me another time!

The food was very nice as was the general ambience. The problem was that it took a long time for our food to arrive ie about 35 -40 minutes. Not sure the kitchen could cope with the number of guests.

Food was good - service ok but not 10/10 - we were also only allocated 90 minutes which I didn't think was quite long enough for a Sunday lunch booking, felt a little rushed!

Exceptional food as always. All our table chose something different off the menu, and were more than satisfied. Such great food, from perfect roasts, delicious swordfish and kids fish and chips! Clean plates all round!

Waitstaff was excellent, even though busy. Food and presentation were the best yet at Vanbrugh and way better than more renowned restaurants in the area. How nice to stay close to home!

A wonderful little hidden pub. The best roast in Southeast London, by far! Dessert is really good too! Make sure you book. They get busy.

Good food, good service, slightly disappointing that they ran out of beef and the best guest beer and were a bit limited on spirit and coffee options but still recommended.

Lovely setting and service. We had fish and chips. Not as good as The Pilot Inn or The Rivington fish and chips. Fish portion a lot smaller and chips more like small roasties. Tasty but not quite what we expected.

I just had dinner at The Vanbrugh with some friends to celebrate my birthday and the food was delicious and the staff was professional and friendly. Also i appreciated that they let us stay and chat after dinner. We didn't feel pressured at all. A lovely relaxed atmosphere. Oh and the garden is lovely too! Thanks for a great evening :)

Lovely pub with a great vibe. Plenty of choices of wines and beers all at reasonable prices. Food was very tastey traditional pub grub (done properly) with decent portions.

Love the pub, firm favourite of mine. Great location as far enough way from madness of central Greenwich, always looking to provide something for its customers, great staff and lovely food!

Very nice meal, service while a little slow was very pleasant, so not an issue at all. We will certainly return. Especially as they had a decent children's menu.

Excellent Sunday roast in a great local pub would recommend 100% BUT stay away from puddings - some had pretty horrible taste and most were miserably mean little portions for £6 :(

Really good, relaxed and very child friendly. Bit more choice for kids meals and coffee not having run out would have resulted in a 6

A great quiz night with plenty of prizes, though with the meat raffle included it did go on a little longer than expected. A great pub though with a good selection of beers.

nice atmosphere, good food, friendly staff; they were a little bit taken a back by our arrival at 9.30 (kitchen closes 9.45) - we had made reservation online just before heading to there - but they prepared our table and were accommodating!

Really nice food, quick service. Had the canape menu for a function and sit down meal, both were great. Everyone really enjoyed the canape, home made burgers and quality sausages.

Great experience! Food was great, friendly and well prepared staff and the bill was far for the service/food provided. Moreover, in the pub and the restaurant there was a good atmosphere. Recommended!
