We enjoyed our meal, the staff were really nice, the place itself is small but pleasant. The starter of soup was very nice and the toast gorgeous. The main course of roast beef was nice if lacking maybe some greens? sprouts/peas/cabbage perhaps but overall a nice experience, the service was fast and efficient and I will never criticise prices as you know what you are paying from the menu. One minor point the menu did not match the website?

Went here for Sunday lunch with my family and have to say the food was beautiful, staff were very attentive and friendly. We loved our desserts also. The place itself was really modern (if a little cold) but had a great atmosphere. Will definitely return.

Met up with family for Sunday lunch. Restaurant was quiet and service was quick and efficient. The food was wonderful. We were asked how we wanted our beef and it was just as I wanted. Waitresses were friendly and polite. We had a lovely time. I will definitely be coming back here. I gave a score of five because nowhere is perfect! But it was jolly good.

My wife and I eat regularaly at the Vane and always enjoy good food and a friendly welcome. The standard is well above that you would expect from a pub restaurant the sauces lift the flavour of the meal to an exciting level. Service is always helpful and attentive.

I will definitely return to The Vane in Long Newton. Excellent food, great staff & very reasonably priced food and drink. Sadly we were too full to try the desserts but they to looked amazing.

The food here is absolutely amazing. Excellent quality and service. We love coming here for a special dinner. The menu is quite different but every meal we've tried has been superb and really tasty!! We're very lucky to have this pub on our doorstep!

Very pleasant and atmospheric pub with friendly staff, serving attractively presented, high quality food with appropriate accompanying wines; all at reasonable prices. The pub always features nutty-flavoured, lightly-hopped, hand-pulled Black Sheep bitter and an additional limited, but constantly varying, selection of other other cask-conditioned real ales. Well worth a visit if you like good food, wine and real ale.

Food delicious, service good, staff very friendly. Could do with a little quiet background music so you are not evesdropping on your neighbours conversations as the tables are close together. Enjoyed our evening and will be back again.

A family meal to celebrate Father's Day. Dad in particular enjoyed the menu and as a group of very fussy eaters everyone thoroughly enjoyed their visit. We'll be back soon!

Really nice meal. Gluten free was more than adequately catered for. GF Parmo was indistinguishable from a regular parmo. Range of GF desserts, not the usual run-of-the-mill stuff.

Great modern unfussy food, friendly service and a lovely relaxed, yet contemporary setting. Reasonably priced with good options for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. Definitely recommended.

This was the first time we have been here and we will definitely be going back. Staff were amazing so friendly and accomodating. We ate off the a la carte menu everything we had was beautiful :-). Very highly recommend x
