Good service from young servers. Food quite nice although mine was a bit salty. Room very hot but hot day so maybe difficult to manage.

Best restaurant in the area, great food, lovely environment and atmosphere, inventive menu, good selection of wines, bit pricier than most in the locale but totally worth it

Very well presented restaurant with delicious food and a friendly service. A good drinks selection as well. We will come back. The bar downstairs is also nice.

Lovely restaurant very modern inside. Light and airy. A little noisy upstairs but it was Father’s Day so many small children. Starter and sweet were excellent. Roast Pork was very good but roast beef a little disappointing. Yorkshire pud looked amazing but was tasteless and leathery, no horseradish sauce was offered. All waiting staff served at table and then returned downstairs so there was no one available to ask. Nobody came to table to ask if we were enjoying our meal. Overall a nice little find and we will return another time.

Lovely food but shame the weather so rubbish as it felt chilly inside . Lovely friendly staff . Please cut back the shrub from car park as it blocks the visibility on to a very busy road ..

Booking via internet - excellent Décor - lovely Food - mediocre, and served one and a half hours after ordering Service - truly dreadful. Bank holiday weekend with only 3 staff who were clearly overworked and stressed, no management representation, our meal order was 'forgotten', no follow up to a request for an explanation, and wrong drinks served. Will we visit again - no chance! Would we recommend? no - visit The Bear or The Felin Fach Griffin where you will be properly valued and made to feel welcome.

Service was really slow, had ask numerous times for drinks which we also had to reminde the waitress to get. Batter on the starter was cooked in dirty oil and didn’t taste the best but the lamb rump for main was amazing! Would go again but they defiantly need to up there game!

A sunny bank holiday weekend visit to the vine tree. Food was good but service on this visit was poor waited an hour for starters and had to remind various staff for water And drinks throughout the evening. Tables were noisey and on this visit sadly we didn’t have the wow experience

Meal was beautifully presented, although my husband's meat was a little tough and his Yorkshire pudding was too big and overcooked. We will definitely book another meal with you but can you not seat us overlooking the stairs through a glass balcony? I felt quite dizzy at times. Wine was lovely and views through the window was interesting. Everything was very clean and we felt treated.

Six customers all agreed, Staff were excellent, starters good, Main course disappointing, undercooked and lacking veggies for 6, desserts excellent. Overall experience disappointing and not to the standard previously enjoyed at The Vine Tree.

Food perfectly reasonable, although had run out of steaks and burgers. Cider behind the bar was also not available. Risotto was tasty and Chicken burger was ok. Shoestring fries soon went limp as the combined heat in close proximity made them soggy (any way to keep them crispy?). Restaurant was kind enough to offer profiteroles as an extra anniversary order which was really good of them. Abiding impression was of a reasonable dining/serving experience for a once-in-a-while visit. Not favourite dining experience in the area, although not negative either.

Service vastly improved since our last visit: Food was very good - menu re-hashed for the better and ( we felt) somewhat more 'bistro' orientated than 'destination restaurant'. Our only question was around value - at the end, after aperitifs, a bottle or two on the table and three courses, we felt that we paid near top end prices.... However it did not detract from a highly enjoyable time in a great venue coupled with very good, attentive service. Well worth a visit:

Turned up at 6.30 in the evening and they had no steak or beef burgers left, ended up with fish, had I known this was going to happen after a 45 minute drive to get there I would have gone more local to my house, would I go back not in a hurry :-(

The service was friendly but the main course took too long. Be prepared to wait. The food was good but slightly expensive for the cost.

The most unprofessional restaurant I have ever been. They seemed to run out of lamb so they replicated with ressoles. And to top they overcharged us. Will let everyone know.

This was our first lunchtime visit having been before for dinner. A lovely menu with first class food and friendly service by Falesha. The restaurant could have been warmer on a what was a cold day. We shall definitely be back again soon.

For my starter I had coronation chicken terrine, but went to take a mouthful only to find a long piece of cling film attached. The waitress that I complained to wasn’t overly helpful. I found that there were to many different servers and not one of them came to check if everything was okay. The food however was delicious.

Disappointing experience following a recommendation it was the best place to go to for a specisl meal. Unfortunately we had to wait an hour and a quarter for our starter. The asparagus was delicious but the crispy lamb was tasteless as the batter on the lamb overpowered the other flavours on the plate. We had to wait a further half an hour for mains but both mains were good although the pork belly was a tiny portion in comparison to the chicken breast with wild boar risotto. The staff were understanding regarding our disappointment and were understaffed front of house with head chef off sick so I think we were just unlucky. However, as we were on holiday and celebrating my husband's 50th birthday, I was gutted it was such a disappointment.

We had a lovely evening with fabulous service, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Our food was delicious and perfectly cooked with some tasty unusual twists. Great to have such a great restaurant on our doorstep.
