One of our many many visits here. Always good food here a lovely pub with a lovely atmosphere . . Staff always helpful and friendly.
very helpful we was a table of 5 every one enjoyed there lunch presentation very good all in all very nice time as it was a double birthday lunch thank you .
Excellent as always. Great to have the best food and company and brilliant menu etc. We had a great meal, starter main and dessert plus great company x
Lovely place with a good atmosphere. Service was a bit slow this time but can't complain as every other time we've been it's been perfect.
Saturday lunch time meal was great off the spring menu. 2 courses for around £12 made it good value. Portion sizes average for someone with a hearty appetite but after a main and a sweet, everyone was happy.
Restaurant was on the chilly side but food was hot. Staff very friendly Could only offer a burger "as it comes", no option for well done! Although do get that choice on steaks. Had the pizza instead - a good choice, simple but very tasty.
The meal was beautiful and the staff where very attentive without being annoying. Our booking was for 7pm so we thought that it would exclude us from the set menu which finished at 7pm (which did not bother us at all), but when we ordered at 6:55pm we where told that the meals we had chosen had qualified us for the set menu! When we pulled up we did notice that the garden was very busy and lively which did put me off a little as I hoping for a nice quiet meal however we where not bothered at all by any garden noise when we were seated even though we where sat next to an open window and a short distance from the open door to the garden. The place (from what we saw) was nicely decorated and parking was plentiful. It's a shame we live in Bedfordshire as we would love to have such a wonderful and reasonably priced pub closer to us.
Mother's Day treat...was a great experience, staff are friendly and on the ball. Even offered my dad a free glass of prosecco as it was his birthday. Thank you
I love the WH and go regularly but went to watch the boxing and they had a live singer on in the bar. The restaurant called me beforehand to say there was live music which was great, but the singer started earlier than planned and was very loud so we had to go earlier than planned. Never mind, just one of those things. No one was enjoying the music though, it's just too noises for a little bar area. Food and service is so excellent though, it has not put us off and will return. The owners are fab and it's just a wonderful place for excellent food.
Good food, nice setting, extremely pleasant and helpful staff. Great value and a lovely eperience adding to the growing reputation of Ruddington's offer to everyone.
We had great service and food! All served timely and very hot/fresh. We will be back very soon, thank you very much for a lovely meal.
Great place and the most amazing food! The service is on a very high standard, very easy to make a reservation and there is a spacious parking outside.
Excellent free food always, can't tell you enough to try the burgers! Absolutely excellent and great service to boot. Both the cheese burger and White Horse burgers are excellent and cooked to perfection. Homemade onion rings are simply the best and constantly want to eat these every time I visit!
Lovely food and great service as always. Kids well looked after and catered for. All meals hot and great quality. Will be very back soon!
Both the food and the service were excellent!! I would highly recommend to anyone. The January sale was a bonus but would have happily paid full price.
Service was great, very friendly staff. Catered to my dietary allergies very well. Food presentation was brilliant and very yummy! Also lovely kids menu which was reasonably priced and good portion sizes
Gorgeous pub, beautifully decorated. Food and service was excellent. Perfect sunday roast without a soggy vegetable in sight. I will be returning again soon! We loved it!
Good food and a nice atmosphere. No nasty surprises. Standard is constant. Food delicious. Prices reasonable. Best place to dine in. I have never been disappointed.
A meal out with girlfriends. Great food and service at a reasonable price. Have been here before and will no doubt return soon. Thank you!
Bar too noisy for a pre dinner drink and no seating in the restaurant area for drinks only. Soup arrived and was cold and the rest of the food was mediocre. Second time we have been hoping it had improved. Unfortunately not.
Had an excellent night at the White Horse, Ruddington with high quality food and service. We will definitely be going back so lucky to have such good places to eat in the village.
We had a lovely evening catching up with friends in the comfortable restaurant area of the pub. As always the food was great and the service friendly.
It was lovely food and a great atmosphere. It's a great place to take someone on a first date which is what I did 😄
Nice friendly service with well cooked food. Would highly recommend
Service was great, burger was great and pork was amazing, steak however was very poor, over cooked and a poor piece, tasteless really. But a nice place
Very good food, good friendly service, good value. A good combination of above average food with the benefit of a range of decent beers as you are also in a very good village pub.
Roast came out a little cold so sent back but once it came back it was perfect
Excellent helpful service and beer recommendations, fine choice of quality food in sunny lounge, ace experience all in all and a nice experience, thank you
Excellent food and service... reasonable prices and a really lovely atmosphere. Good range of beer and wine on offer including fizz Fridays! Will be back
The service was excellent and three out of the four meals were really good. However the fourth meal was fish and chips and the batter was very flat and stodgy. The surroundings are very welcoming and we would definitely go again.
Food was served nearly cold, was sent back came same as before. The male staff who was serving couldn't be more unpleasant. Shall not return.
Very nice....excellent service, very friendly, maybe should have given a 6 however, my Mum had the fish and chips and struggled a little with the fish as the skin was left on beneath the batter, that said, she did say that otherwise it was perfect....would definitely revisit
Drinks were slow. Food was slow and the vegetarian burger was mush. Very disappointing as last time we had a good experience. Won't be rushing back
Village pub with great menu and tasty food. Well worth a visit!
Fab food and lovely staff :) we had the roast today and the portions were huge and the beef was cooked to perfection. The value for money made it a perfect Sunday lunch. Sticky toffee also made the meal complete !
firstly the food was spot on. our only disappointment was we couldn't understand the pricing. They offer two courses for £12 and for example you can have onion and blue cheese tart followed by chicken with roast potatoes for £12 ...all very good BUT if you happened to prefer the asparagus starter you have to pay a total of £18.50. If this had been an additional £2 or £3, fair enough but you're basically saying that asparagus and chicken is £6.50 more than cheese tart and chicken and we didn't understand that at all. As I said maybe £2 more but definitely not £6.50
The food was excellent and the staff were great. Unfortunately we picked a very busy time to visit and had to wait quite a while for our table, even though we had booked.
Loved the food, just a little short on portion size for the price for me. (Small rib eye steak cooked perfectly to my liking & chips - £18.00.) Served quickly by pleasant & attentive staff.
The service this visit was functional but not desperately warm. The food was tasty on the whole, main courses were excellent but the desserts were disappointing. £5 for 3 small scoops of average icecream was unreasonable & my sticky toffee pudding was luke warm and scrimping on toffee sauce. Stick to appetisers and main courses and you will be happy, stay away from desserts.
Great food and great service. They always welcome and are dog friendly which is fantastic which means there whole family can enjoy an evening out.
