Food was absolutely delicious; service very good and we enjoyed having a wait between courses. We will definitely be back, and would recommend the fish cake for starter, was amazing!

It seems that, at 2pm every sunday you "run out of sunday dinners". This is obviously a scam to get people through the door and essentially force them into ordering from the a la carte menu. I will never visit this place again on principle. Very bad PR!!!

Understanding the rules relating to serving alcohol with meals to under 18’s , I was told that this restaurant doesn’t serve alcohol at all yet my 17 year old son had already been served one ( as per UK licensing laws) , then told the law stated only 1 was allowed , I am fine with the latter but get it consistent as I was very frustrated, also the waitress who I first had the conversation with simply walked away as the discussion developed , this is the service industry you can do that !! We won’t be going back , which is a shame as the food was excellent

Service poor, very slow. One member of party’s starter did not arrive with everyone else’s, order hadn’t been put through to kitchen. Jam Roly Poly dessert - Awful, like an Aunt Bessies, with luke warm tinned custard. Wouldn’t recommend.

We had very nice Sunday lunch but unfortunately sat next to two men and a women who talked loudly and one of the men pushed his chair back right into my wife' space. We could clearly hear the conversation from the couple on the other side of us too. Place felt a little hollow and echoey. Food was excellent.

I don’t know where to start, the whole experience was outstanding. The service was exact, not rushed or slow. My steak was cooked how I like it. The value for money is brilliant. I had a lovely evening.

Staff very warm and welcoming. We had the early bird special and the chilli squid was lovely. My husbands steak was a bit chewy but mine was fine. Will return

On a Saturday night to be told what we wanted was sold out was disappointing but the management accommodated is to s change of menu with no extra cost, will definitely return as the steak was to die for 👍

Great Restaraunt, Loved the meal and the sides were amazing!! We all ordered the 10oz Ribeye with a total of 8 sides and decided to share amongst the party of 4. In my opinion, this was the best bit as you got to sample lots of different things (Highly recommend the Hashbrowns with Brisket & Cheddar). The only downside to our visit was one of the steaks was incredibly fatty (I know Ribeye should contain fat, but we're talking more fat than actual meat). We questioned why this was with our server, and she offered us a free dessert for the inconvenience - Went for the 'Tomohawk Bombe' which was also incredible! Overall I would recommend Tomahawk as a great place to eat in the North East. We're looking forward to trying one of their other restaurants in the future. ​Thanks for a great evening overall!

Amazing roast dinner, and lovely wine to go with it

Fantastic food, great atmosphere and value for money. Service was a little slow but it was really busy and we were tucked away on the large table in the secluded area. Which had more positives than negatives so all in all we were all very happy and will be back.
