For Italian in Cardiff city centre you can’t do much better than Toni’s Amici, not only for their exquisite Italian food but also for the authentic Italian atmosphere of joviality, sociability and fun. With plenty of theatres, St. David’s Hall and Motorpoint Arena all within walking distance from Toni’s Amici on Churchill Way, this is a great spot for a pre-show drink and nibble or a quick but delicious city centre lunch – especially thanks to Amici’s brilliant two-course set menu available every day until 6:30pm. If you have a little more time then settle in for a full Italian feast, from bruschetta, calamari fritti and caprese salad to start, through a main menu studded with Italian classics like cannelloni filled with ricotta and spinach (a great vegetarian option), lasagne al forno, bistecca al pepe nero, finishing with decadent desserts (tiramisu and cream puffs are hard to beat) and all washed down with one of the best selections of Italian and European wines in Cardiff.
Excellent food , excellent service fantastic atmosphere. All you need for a good night out. Such a fantastic restaurant for a dinner with friends . Recommend
1st time at this resteraunt and was very pleased. Portions were just right, full of lovely flavours, and the staff were very polite, helpful and pleasant. Would certainly go again and recommend to others. A very clean and bright, modern place to eat. Choice of menus is good.
Food was stunning, I had the carbonara and was the best I've had so far, great taste, lovely place to eat, staff very friendly, great location
lovely restaurant, with very friendly staff, very helpful, service with a smile.great menu with plenty of choice, and best of all was pleasantly surprised when the bill arrived. can't wait for my next trip to cardiff to visit tony amici's again, its well worth trying it out for yourselves. you wont be dissappointed!
My friend and I went to Amici's for a catch up meal and we were very impressed. Upon arrival we were casually but warmly welcomed and the ambience was lovely. All the staff were great and our waiter was attentive and fun. The food was amazing and the wine was excellent - we were given a complimentary shot as well. The panacotta was a gorgeous ending to a fab meal and the final bill was very reasonable. We will definitely be returning and if you're looking for a place to go for a great meal in casual but welcoming surroundings I can't recommend Amici's enough!
This was a fixed price menu on a rugby international day; the restaurant was fully booked but service was swift and attentive. The menu was extensive and was fully worth the cost. The food was absolutely delicious, one of the best restaurant meals I've eaten in a long time and Toni was an excellent host. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant and intend to visit again soon. Jayne Jones
If you want a 'home cooked' stunning meal with a great atmosphere and true warm Italian welcome Toni's Amici is the place to be! First visit but the first of many!
Fantastic home cooked food with great service. The food choice was very good and so was the wine. I don't know why this restaurant do not have queues out of the door. We will definitely be back and are considering a family get together.
Great food , good service, couldn't ask for anything else, all served with a nice bottle of wine, then found the link to the old Fontana de Trevor, very happy customer.
Great evening very attentive staff but more importantly exceptional food . Peaceful atmosphere . Central location right in the heart of the city . Great value we will be back!
