Trader Vic's

We all really enjoyed our meal at Trader Vic's and the service was good. My only irritation was we were not allowed to take home the steak that was leftover, and there was alot. Even when I explained this was for my two dogs I was told the resturant does not allow this.

Our waiter Abis was superb in every way he made our visit really special, however the food was not as great as I use to remember. But all in all good

Great venue, service, cocktails, food, and decor. Would return again.

The food was decent but portion size, particularly the sharing platter, was relatively small. The cocktails were awesome to look at, in their fantastic tiki mugs. Again, though, smaller volume of cocktail in comparison to the ice in the mug. Service, when provided by one server, was thoughtful and conscientious. On at least 3 occasions, someone else came over and asked us the same things. In the background, a fair number of the staff also seemed to not know what was going on, seemingly dashing from one place to the next. All in all, a decent time that had areas to improve upon, especially in a relatively expensive establishment.

Know this restaurant well and friendly good service as usual. Food is good but it could improve.

I’m afraid it was a very disappointing evening at the Trader Vic’s for me. I had wanted to impress my small family but it didn’t deliver the result I had expected. Just to be sure all would be well at the restaurant, I even checked before hand with the manager by phone and he assured me that I would have a nice table to celebrate my birthday and wedding anniversary on that evening. We were given the last table near the kitchen where it was not only disruptive but it was also very draughty. By the way, it was a Saturday evening and there were other empty tables available. The live music was unbearable. It sounded like 2 musicians trying their best to put together a couple of songs! For me Trader Vic’s was suppose to be ‘going down memory lane’. My father was once a chef of the Trader Vic’s (late ‘50’s to the ‘70’s.) He would be turning in his grave if he knew the food he once loved to prepare has gone that far ‘down the hill’! We didn’t stay for our desserts and coffees.

Lovely evening! Outstanding perfomance by the staff. Noise levels quite high due to live music, but nonetheless amazing experience!

Ribs ok. Black bean chicken swamped in oil had a refund. I will never return.

Sweet potato fries weren’t cooked enough and had to ask for more. Other than that amazing service with polite and friendly staff

Fantastic experience!! I went for dinner for my girlfriends 25 birthday! Lovely deco, warm welcome and attentive and knowledgeable staff! The food was superb! The fillet of beef in the oven meltet in the mouth! When dessert time came a beautifully decorated plate with happy birthday plus a song dedicated to her by the live band, made my girlfriends night!!! I highly recommend the place!!!
