You don’t go around calling your restaurant Tsunami unless you’re fully confident that it is quite the tour de force, and thankfully this Japanese spot in London’s Clapham area lives up to the hype. Located on Voltaire Road, this restaurant was established in 2001 and has been going from strength-to-strength over the past few years. With stunning, authentic wooden screens and a luxurious setting Tsunami is a great place for a decadent dinner or glamourous drinks with friends or family. So whether you’re in the mood for sushi or sashimi, tempura or seafood Toban Yaki, truffle rib-eye beef with exotic mushrooms or salmon teriyaki – the menu at Tsunami is sure to provide something appealing!
As a regular customer I was slightly disappointed following my visit yesterday Service was slow, food average compared to their normal standards - the black cod was too sweet for example and the sun kissed sashimi was overly cured in lemon juice. Having had these dishes countless times before I was surprised by this as normally these are well done. The staff however were friendly.
Fabulous in every way. Staff very attentive and friendly and efficient. Food was delicious and served in a timely way. Great buzzy atmosphere. Can't wait to return
Always brilliant Japanese in the heart of Clapham. The lamb cutlets, Black eye Cod with Miso sauce and soft shell crab role are a must!
Family celebration which we all enjoyed. Lovely food particularly the tempura prawns. My daughter enjoyed the lychee martini cocktails. Smiley service. Good atmosphere. Still my favourite local restaurant in Clapham
