Va' Pensiero

If the portions are too big, the meal is unappetising. It was the case here. Presentation was poor. Food was simply piled on the plate. Very good service.

Very good food and friendly efficient service -highly recommended. Have not been for several months but service remains as good as previously. Well worth a visit.

Very disappointed - we both had veal escalope which was very tough, tasteless, like eating a piece of fried blanket. We told the waitress and she said she would tell the kitchen, we were halfway through, no one came over, so we finished it as we were hungry and couldn't be bothered to cause a fuss and they couldn't be bothered either!

Really good atmosphere. Attentive staff and food quantities were generous. I've been to other restaurants (some chains included) and they've now started to provide smaller plates or large bowls with wide rims, so the quantities are far smaller than say 12 months ago. Another way of paying the same or more, but getting less. Va Pensiero on the other hand, is NOTHING like this and the food was delicious. I'd return again, at the drop of a hat. Prices were reasonable too.

We had a very enjoyable lunch at Va Pensiero. Nice atmosphere and delicious food in a local restaurant at a reasonable price. We lingered over our coffees chatting into the afternoon. I look forward to repeating the experience.

Although we've lived in the area for many years this was our first time here. The food was great, good selection, the staff were friendly and there was a nice atmosphere.

good food. Excellent service. Not rushed. A very enjoyable meal. Will certainly go there again. A varied range of food on the menu to suit everyone's taste
