Good food.. good service.. But I have to say the table was the most uncomfortable table I’ve ever sat at in a restaurant.. neither my partner nor I could properly stretch our legs out ..bad design.

Disappointed.. visited 3 x Atul Kochhar restaurants and this was most definitely NOT the same level of food presentation, food quality or staff service. I had a BUY-a-Gift Voucher for a 3 course set MEAL for Two. From the time we arrived it was set to ' sell' sell, sell '. No sooner as I partially sat down, did we want water ?.....and once it had arrived, the moment I put down my glass of sparkling water after sipping from it, it was topped up to empty the bottle in order to sell another. When I'd finished my cocktail ( inc meal voucher ), it was did I want another drink - said might want a beer later in my meal ( was even reminded I hadn't ordered my beer during my main meal ) Starters were good, a chicken dish and a mushroom dish ( nicely prepared and presented ) - from three choices and an upgrade priced option Main meal was nothing short of disappointing - the presentation was as though from a plastic supermarket container - a very bland, semi-warm chicken korma dish ( I wasn't told about this until we'd left the restaurant ) and my Saag Ghost ( served as a mush probably to hide the lack of lamb in it - and who has ever heard of a set meal NOT serving either rice or naan bread with the meal - that was EXTRA Had I not have ordered the rice, bread and dal as extras, our main meal would have arrived as only two cereal bowls of mains ( it's a MEAL ). When we finished our wafer thin tiny naan bread basket, the head waited appeared at our table and asked if we wanted another one - stupidly I said yes thinking he'd seen we still had a fair amount of our meal left and that he thought it would be nice to offer another one - yep, another £ 5.00 on the bill ( and as if that's not a ----take, it only states it as £ 4.50 on the menu ) ! There were 4 choices of main meals and one with a supplement which is ok I guess BUT two of them were vegetarian / vegan There were 3 choices of sweet ( YES OF COURSE, ONE OF THEM WITH A SUPPLEMENT ) and yes, we were asked 3 times if we wanted tea or coffee ( additional cost of course ) No worries with paying 12.5% service charge if its warranted - I paid it but as you can see, I still feel that this restaurant is the ' oddball ' - Mr Kochhar, time to visit this restaurant and ensure it starts to live up to the rest of them... its clearly NOT. Could continue but I've run out of space on my review - made my point I feel, but I have 3 vouchers to use this restaurant - about to exchange them for another venue.

Food was amazing. 3 course lunch menu is fantastic value for money for the quality of the food. So difficult to choose what to eat as it all sounds delicious.

We have been to Atul Kochar's other restaurants many times before but our first trip to Vaasu was a disappointment. The interior was tired, food was extremely pricey with very small portion sizes. Being a Bengali, the kosha mansho was an embarassment and was not different to a standard mutton dish served in any normal Indian restaurant. This is not something we expected from an 'Atul Kochar' brand.

Great food, upscale Indian restaurant and very different offering to usual Indian food. Perfect scallops, lovely moist spicy seabass starters, delicious dumplings, muntjak, creamy silky butter chicken mains and a perfect chocolate fondant to finish! And said hello to Mr Kutcher himself to to off a special family dinner.

We love to dine at the Atul Kulchar restuarents with Riwaz, Sindhu and Vassu particular favourites. The visit on 10th November was for lunch, kindly received as a birthday present. It never ceases to amaze us how many wonderful flavours are savoured. We had Lamb Chops and Prawn for starters and the lamb and lemon chicken for mains. We both had the pear and blackberry crumble for desert which was a delight. Great service and a busy yet not too noisy atmosphere made thus visit memorable.

Food was delicious although the lamb was spicy for both of us so we asked for some yoghurt to calm it and they then charged us for it!! Disappointed by that!
