Amalfi Valentinos

We went for my husbands birthday and had an excellent meal at the restaurant. The food and service was fantastic. Lovely place to eat out.

Fantastic food, lovely atmosphere and attentive but not intrusive staff. Despite there being two large tables celebrating birthdays, we had the same amazing service we always get at Valentines. The food is the best Italian food we've ever had and the prices are reasonable. I can't praise them enough,the staff are lovely, happy and smiling. And gives you the feeling that you are special. Thank you one and all. Will continue to come when we are visiting Wakefield. And cannot wait till the next time. Thank you again

Great food , place was busy and lively . The steak was the best steak i have ever had ,superb. Garlic bread as a starter i would also give full marks

This was an excellent restaurant, the food was lovely and they let you have sufficient time between courses rather bring it out straight after each other. The prosecco was really nice and the staff were attentive. We will definitely return.

Food, service,value for money and atmosphere all excellent. I have not been for quite a while so was pleasantly surprised and would recommend it to everyone.

Went to Valentinos on a Friday night . We were early so say and had a drink plenty of seats and no problem. Table was ready after having booked online on quandoo . customer service was very good and food excellent as always. Very relaxed and lovely place.

First visit to this restaurant. Arrived to find our table and requested baby chair already set up and waiting for us (often despite requesting ahead there is a scramble at other places to find a chair). Food and service were great. Good lunch menu and options for children. We'll be back again soon.

The food as always is second to none. Never rushed or hurried by the staff who are more than helpful. Quickly becoming a regular venue for us.

Good food,however, not for the 1st time we were served the wrong main courses. Waitress finally realised and took our plates and gave them to another table. When the right food arrived it was good. Not the cheapest but good quality.

Beautiful food and excellent service, would recommend this place to anyone who loves Italian food at its finest and reasonably price for the amount of food you get

Always receive a friendly welcome. The service from the staff is excellent. There is an extensive choice on the menu, which ensures whether you go for the traditional Italian fare or one of their excellent steaks, that all tastes are catered for.

Fantastic food and great service , would highly recommend the fillet Pepe for your main washed down with a peroni ! All staff make you feel welcome - will defiantly go again

Excellent food. Excellent service. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who go out of their way to help and the food is some of the best around. Would have scored it top marks were it not for the cheesy music and the toilets being a little whiffy.

Very good bustling atmosphere. Food excellent and service efficient. Great time had by all. Will definitely be back. Only slight criticism was the lack of any authentic Italian music.

I did think the food was not as expected. The prawn and salmon starter I had contained a lot of tough dark red salmon - blood? Unchewable. The main I had was Beef Stroganoff. The beef was very tough. All four of us had this unfortunately, totalling over £70 pounds and I was paying to celebrate an occasion. Nobody commented but I felt embarassed and very annoyed, especially since I had been telling lots of people where we were going and why and how good it USUALLY was. Unsure if I would go again.

Website is very confusing as depending on what time of day you look at it, you can only see a set menu, two choices or three, from£10.95. On arrival at the restaurant at 7 pm we were served quickly, but had to wait for too long to re order more drinks which were over priced, especially the cocktails and house wine. Food was of a good standard but the desserts we ordered, cheesecake, was clearly brought out of a freezer and was far too cold and solid . Also the desserts are a little expensive for what you are served . My mother could not order her preferred choice of fish as this was very limited, swordfish or sea bass would have been nice. As the food was very tasty, we may return again.

Food was fantastic but service poor. There appeared to be only two waiting staff to cope with bar and restaurant, which is unusual in my previous experiences there, this resulted in an unacceptable long time between courses.

Great food and prices, went for a catchup with friends, staff were really helpful and happy to alter things to suit, definitely recommend this restaurant.

The food was delicious and the majority of the staff were very friendly. However this being said, the staff were also unorganised and had 3 different people ask for our drink orders. There seemed to be no zoning of them, which made it a little chaotic. Also the wait between the starter and the main was around 30 minutes which is way too long in my opinion.

Nice enough place,,, a little lacking in ambience though,,,,, its just a wide open room and can get a bit noisy. Food ok,,, just!!! Not ' looks like its pre' prepared mass produce. Very expensive for wine, and food prices a little high for what it is,,,,,, but generally ok.

Poor service. 4th person in party waited 10 minutes after everyone else for their meal. Not offered more drinks during meal. Mediocre food. Miserable waiter.

Great atmosphere, very welcoming with friendly staff. Three of us dined and had starters, main course & dessert and I have to say that the food was excellent, would definitely recommend and we will most certainly be going back

First time me and my partner had been great service and polite staff, food was excellent and will be going again very soon thank you.

Booked a table for four 7.30pm. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and I will definitely be going back. Would have given a six if the bread and dips had come before our main meal but it was served with it.

Another amazing meal, great service and special touches? I would like to move Valentinos to where we live in Pembrokeshire, West Wales. Thank you guys.

The food was excellent as always. The problem was at the end of the meal when the staff seemed to disappear. When we did get somebody to get us the bill there was then confusion about whether we could pay with Amex.

First class service with first class food did not have to wait long between courses and the waitresses were very good and friendly well done Valentinos

My wife and I had a good time, the food was excellent and the service was good. One thing I would say is there was no consistencies in the menus me and my wife had. Also the price between the bill and menu differed.

we had a meal on sat at 19.00 hrs we had 3 courses all 3 were very good the chianti went down like silk atmosphere was first class very friendly can recommend

Some issues on this visit. 2 of the guests received the wrong main course. When this was raised it turned out that there were 2 different menus. The old waiter was dismissive of the problem and only when it was escalated to e manager was it taken seriously. At this point the issue was dealt with promptly and ultimately the 2 mains weren't charged in the final bill.

Superb and typically Italian. Service good and food very delicious. Can't wait to go there next time. The location is also well out of town.

This was my second visit here and on both occasions I have enjoyed the lovely food, great atmosphere and friendly, professional staff. Perfect! Will definitely return.

Great menu options, food was tasty and staff really helpful. Only downside was it took us nearly 3 hours to order (our fault somewhat as we did delay), get the food, eat and pay for a 3 course meal - a little too long with a toddler where there is none of the usual crayons and a picture to colour etc.

Nice atmosphere good service and food was great. Just a little bit expensive for a local restaurant. My bill was 100 pounds with a tip for 3 adults and a child incl drinks.

Food great, recommendations of the staff were helpful and they were great with the kids. Garlic bread starter, Dads Sea bream and my spicy Penne were particular highlights

Pleasant staff food was very nice garlic mushrooms the sauce could of bin abit creamier was abit waterery but would definitely go back again would recommend to friends and family
