Short of staff on Valentine Day! Waited 20 minutes at the bar to be served! Food was average, male toilet was dirty! Average experience overall

Excellent food with very friendly staff.good value and conveniently situated within the delights of Broad Street. Spotlessly clean toilets .Well worth a visit when you are in Brum

35 min wait for starter. 15 mins to realise we had finished.a further 40 mins for main which was vile. The procecco was more like bucks fizz. Tried charging extra £5 pp for choosing steak. Rude staff. Enough said

Was a little disappointed with our visit. Food was well presented however my main was comparable to a frozen ready curry. Staff were pleasant. Atmosphere not what I was expecting however a nice place to maybe have a drink.

Went to velvet music rooms for a catch up with my mate the food was excellent and the staff was very friendly I will definitely be going back there

Fabulous, tasty meal, big portions, lots of choice. Staff friendly, attentive and efficient. Atmosphere a little quiet but it was a Sunday evening, thoroughly enjoyable evening.

THe food was great, very nice, fantastically cooked, excellent quality, we really really loved it. Also the place is really nice with a nice atmosphere. Definitely will come back :)

Had lunch with 5 friends. excellent food ordered and served by a very nice bar/waiter with a smile and a chat. Delicious cocktails too Would definitely return.

Food was ok for pub grub bit noisy due to having 10 tvs al playing football. If you want to go somewhere quiet thats not the place.

Probably the best value restaurant on Birmingham's Broad Street, an area where most eat-in places can charge what they like as the majority of customers do not use their own money. Friendly staff, quick and attentive service and nicely cooked food. However, be aware that Velvet Music Rooms transforms into a busy nightclub as the evening draws on, so if all you want is a quiet (ish) meal, go early!

The food at Velvet Rooms was good. Very friendly service. They couldn't help us more. The toilets could be improved, they are a bit out of date.

HAD A GROUPON VOUCHER HAD A STARTER & MAIN COURSE STAFF WERE PLEASANT & EFFICIENT THE STARTER WAS A LITTLE OVER COOKED 7 THE MAIN WAS QUITE TASTY FOR A PUB MEAL IT WAS GOOD BUT DON'T EXPECT RESTAURANT QUALITY WOULD BOOK AGAIN & RECOMMEND TO FRIENDS TO START THEIR EVENING OFF IN A PLEASANT WAY IT WAS QUIET AS IT WAS A MONDAY EVENING

We were going to the theatre so arrived just after 5.30, it had been a warm day and the big windows were open on to Broad St in rush hour! so had to sit almost as far back as we could away from the traffic noise. They had a special menu for the voucher with limited choice, a price limit on the normal menu would had been better. We both enjoyed the bubbly but the food was basic pup grub of reasonable quality but not good enough to say we must come here again. The service was good but as was said by the staff they were quiet so we got there full attention. All in all you get what you pay for, we will not be calling again on our way to the theatre.

We have been a few times and on each occasion excellent friendly service, superb burgers,best sweet potato fries we have had, reasonable prices. Good central location

Very good value, the food was great and hot > Good service, friendly staff, nice atmosphere . We will plan to revisit in the near future.

It was early evening on a Friday, there were a few people inside but plenty of seats. We were shown to a table and seated within 5 minutes of arriving. Because I booked online the member of staff was aware that a voucher was being used. We were given a menu and it was explained what we could order. The order was taken quickly, the food arrived after a few minutes and was hot and tasty. Overall a pleasant experience, the only reason I have not rated it is six is because some of the music was a little bit too loud for that time of the evening, maybe it could have been louder a bit later into the night when all the younger people come out.

Myself and friend had lunch using a groupon offer. Fantastic value. Good food and lovely friendly service, only request would be for a larger choice on groupon menu. Will definately return.

Food was good. Service was poor. Bellini did not taste as it did on my last visit. Must have forgot to put the archers in.

I wasn't too sure at first but the place was pleasant and had a good atmosphere. Great meal and amazing value. Staff were very courteous and helpful. Well worth a visit.

When we arrived there we were a little hesitant not expecting a lot, however we were pleasantly surprised food was very good, staff were very friendly, would recommend to anyone I know.

It is a very unique venue with unusual memorabilia like a limited edition of a Duran Duran disc ! The menu for our deal had lots of choices so it was difficult to choose as we wanted to taste them all ! We had the garlic mushrooms and the onion soup both of which were delicious followed by green thai curry and lasagne which were equally lovely. The bubbly was also very nice. The food is very fresh and perfect portions and they don't take ages to serve either so all in a very enjoyable experience ! Heartedly recommend

great place to visit again the burgers is very massive its worth it... my kids really enjoy it and the staff are very accomodating. and friendly..keep it up your good service

Good service, good food and drink. The manager and staff were excellent we had my daughter and baby with us they were quick to offer us a high chair. They also served our drinks to our table. Will definitely go there again. Highly recommend. Please bear in mind it is a bar that serves good quality food at a reasonable price. It is not a Michelin star restaurant.

I was a little worried about bringing the children to the velvet rooms at 7pm on a Friday evening as I know they prepare for a busy club night. However, on arrival we were warmly welcomed and the food was very well priced and of a high standard. Bar staff were helpful and attentive. Would def visit again. Thank guys !

We went on a deal in the afternoon. It is easy to get to, food was very tasty, just needed to be a bit hotter, we had lovely service from a young lad who informed us of all the offers as well as looked after us very well. We will go again
