The Victoria Stakes

We had a lovely roast with a mix of beef and chicken roasts in our party. The service is always brilliant and catered for all ages including my 1 year old daughter. Only criticism would be that the gravy is very salty, and the potatoes could be crisper/ better overall. Otherwise we had a lovely afternoon with the family and will definitely be returning for a Sunday roast again soon.

The service wasn't very good. Þhere was one girl running around doing everything and other times they would wander up to our table with food that wasn't ours. We had to ask twice for water and the bill never came so we went up to the cash desk ourselves as we couldn't wait any longer. The fod was average. Potatoes weren't cooked and the chicken was like it was bernard matthews. Far too expensive for what you get.

The table had been booked for 2 weeks, when we arrived 3 of the dishes on the Sunday menu were out of stock. They didn't have hendricks gin, but then charged us for it, the service charge was extortionate so with minimal drinks turned out to be a very expensive non-Sunday roast. Food was good and they did put a candle on the dessert for the birthday girl but considering we were pushed into a corner table,and didn't get a roast we wanted, the least they could have done was offer it to us for free. We won't be going there again
