You know you’re in for a good time when you walk into Vino Vino, it just has that vibe of a friendly trattoria – warm lights, wooden tables huddled closely together, tiled floors and the ever-increasing buzz of voices and laughter as the night rolls on. Vino Vino is a fun, vibrant Wallasey hangout, and you would be forgiven for visiting for the atmosphere alone; but the food is Vino Vino’s true calling card. This is where you find Wallasey’s most authentic Italian fare – in fact some of the best to be found anywhere on the Wirral – across a range of superb dishes, from filling lunchtime pastas to classic Italian pizzas, exquisite antipasto to pick at or luscious crab with crispy asparagus or an indulgent fillet steak topped with king prawns. Vino Vino is found right on Wallasey Road and – surprise surprise – they stock plenty of quality vino to be enjoyed along with their delicious meals, so it can fill up quickly and bookings are strongly advised, particularly for group gatherings.
Good atmosphere and great food - will definitely return. We opted for five small dishes between us cheesy garlic bread and a bottle of wine all for just over £30 so very good value for money.
