Given the current climate surrounding COVID-19, many authorities are placing restrictions on social gatherings. In the best interest of everyone’s safety, we are continuously updating the availability of our partner restaurants to reflect these measures. We encourage people to still support the restaurant industry in other ways.Learn how

You’ll find Waggon & Horses perched right on Chorley Road where reservations are advised to avoid disappointment.
After a 45 minute wait, our food arrived, 2 quite small roast sunday lunches and 1 order of fish and chips. The fish was allegedlly Cod in beer batter, the batter was soft and slimy, the chips overcooked. The sunday roast's vegetables were overcooked, no mash as stated on the menu, the beef was tough and the roast pots were like conkers. A Mothers day ruined and a £43 bill. It may be quite a while before we return to this local pub, if ever.
Been here couple of times recently as been working in the area
Great place not been for years very pricey for the area
No two visits to Waggon & Horses Westhoughton are ever the same, thanks to the extensive British food offering which changes seasonally based on whatever fresh produce is readily available. From its central location on Chorley Road, just a stone’s throw away from Bolton, Waggon & Horses keeps the people of Westhoughton well fed and watered seven days a week and all year round. If you’re in for a few scoops and find yourself a wee bit peckish, ensure you avail of some light bites or nibbles off the extensive British and European menu. We love the Mediterranean platter to share with olives, hummus, taramasalata, sharing breads, olive oil and balsamic vinegar or the salt and pepper squid with a lemon and cracked black pepper mayonnaise
When it comes to the main event at Waggon & Horses, you will be absolutely spoilt for choice. So much so that we suggest dining with someone you enjoy sharing food with – that way you can try out a few different dishes together. We love the king prawn linguine with roasted peppers, garlic, chilli, baby spinach and sun-blushed tomatoes; Aberdeen Angus beef burger with skinny fries and homemade coleslaw and the pan-fried fillet steak and Stilton sandwich with fried red onions. No matter where in Bolton you’re coming from, ensure you arrive at Waggon & Horses armed with an advance booking to ensure you nab a spot!
