Excellent food with a very varied menu. The service was very efficient in what was a very busy lunchtime - already looking to book again.

Good food, pleasant staff. I'd go back again. My family enjoyed it too. The Barbican isn't the most beautiful building in the world but we looked out over the ornamental lake, which made up for it.

Disappointed at the lack of choice on the menu. They only do a 5 or 7 course taster menus no other menus.we just had a drink and left. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant is lovely. Been told there's more choices on Sunday lunch and the Yorkshire puddings are too die for so will go back on a Sunday too try it.

Its a great little pub for food and nice atmosphere for work lunch and drinks in the city, good choice of options on the menu as well!

The Bar was busy but despite that the service was great. Good choice of beers and wine or suit all tastes and budgets. I am a vegetarian and I found my meal full of flavour. Great atmosphere too.

Ideally located in the office district around the Barbican. Good variety and quality of food served promptly. Unfortunately didn't have the wine of my choice but do have an extensive wine list. All in all a pleasurable experience.

Great food, good beer, perfect service - what else would you want on Friday lunch. All other pubs in the area don't come even close to this one. One negative point - it's a bit expensive, but this is City so as expected.

It was a lovely setting, main course was good, entree was average. Service was good and we were seated in a corner area where it wasn't crowded so we could properly catch-up with each other as was the purpose of the dinner.

The menu at the restaurant reads appealingly but unfortunately the food doesn't live up to the appeal. A £14 chicken dish contained barely any chicken. The place just needs a bit of a facelift. On the plus side, great location for The Barbican.

We had excellent and prompt service throughout. The food was well-prepared and the wine was excellent. The environment was pleasant and well worth the visit.

Decent boozer in The City that is overrun with people downing drinks to make their train. They do a very good pint of Guinness and food.

The service was good and the décor nice. Temperature was good on a hot evening but the food was average and a bit too pricey.

Starters very good, but main courses (Sunday lunch) disappointing - food was not very hot and portions were far too big. Service was friendly but not very good e.g. plates were removed while some of our party were still eating. We will not go for Sunday lunch again.

Great beers and the subtle background music means that this pub is a great place for friends, family or coleagues to meet. Food platters are excellent.

Nice cosy place to catch up with friends or colleagues. Food good and nice to be able to hear each other talk! Service was good prompt and attentive without intruding. Could do with a couple more veggie options on the menu but would recommend to others.

The poker room was excellent - just right for our purposes. The only slight complaint was that the lighting level is too low - which the manager tried to help with by providing a lamp, which did help, but it would still have been better if more of the wall lights (or central lights) had worked.

A lovely quiet lunch with views over the water features of the Barbican. Service was swift but we were unrushed, and the food was excellent.

Nice location by the basin within the Barbican, which unfortunately is quite a dreary place. Food & service were fine. As this was December 30th the atmosphere was quiet.

A very good meal and service , the one criticism was that because of the restricted menu my partner who has difficulty with any dish with fried items in it only had 1 choice of dish . But would recommend this establishment

The staff were pleasant and the setting is good, but the food was very disappointing. We all had fish and chips as the menu is quite restricted. The batter was thick and soggy, the fish tasteless. We won't be back any time soon.

Good if not spectacular food pretty reasonably priced and very convenient for the Barbican Centre. Generous main portions.
