Excellent food and service as always; our favourite Chinese restaurant.

Food good but not as special as on previous visits.

I booked online and when we arrived, we were given a brilliant table in the window. The service was prompt and delivered with a smile. We chose a set meal for two and it was really delicious. Each dish arrived at the table hot and tasty. I chose to drink China tea and it arrived in a large pot, which refused to run out, it was jasmine scented and just what I was hoping for. All round the service, surroundings, ambience and most importantly, the food, was really excellent. Can't wait to return...

Tasty authentic Chinese food served by friendly Chinese family owners. Extensive menu to choose from - the crispy duck pancakes being our favourite. Good wine list too.

Still the best Chinese restaurant in Sussex. We travel from Brighton to eat here and it is worth the journey. The preparation of the food is an artwork in itself.

Friendly and attentive staff. Good quality food and wine. Only disappointment was the tired chairs and restricted leg room under the table. Otherwise a lovely evening.

Decent Chinese food with gluten free options. In Meads Village a 30min walk from the centre or catch the 3A bus. Service was quick. The sweet and sour chicken was good, not outstanding, and I enjoyed my veggie 5 spice Tofu, reasonable value.

An amazing night of wonderful food and service Excellent experience

It was the first time that I was able to taste the different flavours in a single dish, let alone different dishes. My partner and I were very impressed.

Once again this restaurant out performs every other in the Eastbourne area. Food was outstanding and service was great. Lively Christmas atmosphere without being rowdy, had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Will be returning and do unreservedly recommend.

On entering the restaurant it felt warm and welcoming. It was tastefully decorated and tables were set nicely too. It all looked very inviting. A staff member greeted us and was friendly and accommodating. She advised us we could choose our table as we had arrived early and there were a few to choose from; this was not the case as the evening drew and the restaurant began filling up even though it was a weeknight. I immediately thought the rave reviews about this place must be right. This was indeed the case and after taking a while to decide and order it wasn’t long before we were presented with the most delicious looking food, which it was. The tastiest Chinese meal I have ever eaten. They accommodated my friend’s egg allergy too, both of us having Singapore rice noodles for our mains. As a starter we share the aromatic crispy duck with pancakes, and some seaweed! The entire meal was out of this world, and the service was impeccable; considerate, attentive and just the right amount of enquiring about whether we were happy with the food. We also were given complimentary prawn crackers at the beginning of the meal, and a fortune cookie afterwards. I would definitely recommend this place, and will be returning again very soon!

Such a lovely evening celebrating 3 birthdays. The food, staff and ambiance were just amazing. All made for a very special evening. It’s our 3rd time now and we’ll definitely return next month. Just love it!

Everything was good, although there seemed to be some confusion over our booking. We had booked on-line earlier in the day, but the staff seemed to have no knowledge of our booking. Fortunately, there was a table available.

Very small portions of food ordered for 4 people which cost over £112. Only 2 prawn crackers for each of us.!! Other tables were served much quicker than our table.

I love this restaurant. Saturday evening meal yesterday but frequently go for lunch. Consistently outstanding food and service is faultless. Very buzzy atmosphere but friendly and welcoming. Nice period of time between starters and main course so didn't feel at all rushed. Food particularly good last night. Not a cheap night out but would thoroughly recommend.

Good food and a really welcoming experience. We went early on a Sunday evening but the restaurant was really busy. Xing Fu is undoubtedly the best Chinese restaurant in Eastbourne…and also a real authentic family restaurant with all members of the family involved. Phil

The food was very good when we eventually got it. The restaurant is very nice and staff very friendly but the service was very slow. We were in the restaurant for over 2 hours before getting our main course and being with a little one this wasn't great. The main problem we could see is that the restaurant was understaffed and the amount of takeaways that was going out really slowed the service down. This also made the the dining experience within the restaurant unpleasant as the people were just waiting within the restaurant for their food making it very congested and busy

Managed to get a table for two at short notice. Food was fantastic, hot and tasty, we had the Xing Fu Special Chow mein and duck spring rolls. Highly recommended 👌

The poultry dishes were slightly 'chewy'/tough, otherwise all were good.
