Yard & Coop - Liverpool

My son hasn’t a serious nut allergy. We highlighted this to the waitress on ordering and she assured me that the meal he had ordered was safe. It was only after I felt uneasy that I checked with a manager who told me ALL their spices may contain traces of nuts. Our son could not eat and had to leave with his girlfriend to eat elsewhere. I had checked the website previously and it stated that allergies could be accommodated. I felt terrible as it was my daughter’s birthday meal. My son could have been killed had I not double checked. Their allergy processes are not good enough, and Yard and Coop need to realise what a serious issue this is.

The young man who.looked after my friend and I was very polite and helpful. He even gave us a taster of two sauces so my friend could make an informed choice. X we will be returning. A lovely leisurely lunch. Thanks k you Yard and Coop. X

Lovely food and great atmosphere. Perfect place for a catch up with friends. Food was also served quickly so we weren’t kept waiting when a large party came in!

The staff were very helpful. The place was child friendly,with a bath ball pool which our little ones loved. The food was very good too!

Great restaurant. Staff really friendly, atmosphere is great and if you like chicken,you’ll be in heaven. I’d recommend lord of Wings and even the fries are brilliant.

Great food and atmosphere. Used a living social voucher without any issues. Will definitely be back as it is kids eat free with any adult meal.

Booked for 5.15 and didn’t get our first drink until 6.30! Very short staffed. Staff nice but management need to ensure they have enough staff to meet busy periods.

friendly staff always have a good time and have never had a bad experience when I’ve gone, good service, good food and a good atmosphere.

The food was lovely and the service we received was excellent. Would definitely book there again. The only thing I wasn't fussed on was the small chairs but we were moved to a booth so we were more comfortable.

Service was friendly and efficient. Food portions were generous and tasty. Decor was good, particularly liked the games you could play there. Staff were also knowledgeable about allergies.

Had a lovely meal here on Saturday, chicken was cooked to perfection and the coleslaw and sweet potato chips were delicious. Looking forward to returning with my daughter soon.

Great atmosphere and setting. Waiters nice but forgot to make one of our sides! Food was very nice but quite a lot was served.. too much!

Overall bad experience, poor service was not asked if our food was ok, no one came near to see if we neeed anything and was sat next to the toilet which was not ideal !!

Was very disappointed after seeing all the reviews about how nice it was and the quick service as we had the opposite. We waited 45 minutes for drinks (food came 10 minutes before drinks), couldn’t really enjoy meal as it was spicy and had no drink after asking where it was 3 times.

Yard and Coop had a fabulous interior (we got to sit in a mock coop) however services was slow and wan't very attentive to the point that we didn't have any member of staff approach our table for an half an hour even though we had empty glasses on the table. When we did receive services it was friendly and upbeat, a member of staff advised us to give one of our chicken dishes a little squeeze of lemon as it would give it an extra zing. It feels like there needs to be more training in how to deal with busy periods to ensure consistent good service. Myself and my brother choose to order a load of dishes as we wanted to share and try a bit of everything but there was no plates so we just had to keep swapping dishes and there was no separate plate for bones. The food its self was amazing apart from the cabbage and bacon dish which was sadly lacking in flavor.

First, the positives... The young staff were all very pleasant and the restaurant itself was quirky, which I liked. The sweet potato fries were good and hubby loved the dirty fries. The onion rings were great and they served Love Lane on draft which was a big plus. Sadly, there must be black pepper in the chicken coating, which isn't to my taste. But the reason I wouldn't go back was the goddamn awful music! It was probably what youngsters like but it was too loud and didn't complement the surroundings. I'd rather eat at Nolita Cantina. Better music for sure!

Our first visit to Yard and Coop what an amazing unusual place, the food was gorgeous, we had Winner,Winner Chicken Dinner, l also had the Rhu Dog Gin Cocktail delicious, this restaurant is well worth a visit, we certainly will be going back

Amazing tasting food and fantastic service with a smile!! Really good value for money. Monkey balls, dirty fries and Asian slaw stack was very tasty. Will definitely be going back soon!

Celebrated my birthday here, food was fab and really tasty, lovely cocktails and friendly service from Kevin our waiter. Will most definitely be returning 😋

My partner and I went to yard and coop for his birthday. Service was great and food came quick and was really nice. The place gets really crowded very quickly but they have a nice bar area where you can wait for your table.

Amazing food, service and drinks. Really good atmosphere in there. First time I've been and I will definitely be going back! Tried out some of the cocktails and they were lovely too.

Great restirant with great atmosphere. Never been disappointed in a meal here. Range of different food and spices and all the dips to go with them!

Hreat little place food lovely reasonably priced and staff really friendly mcan be difficult to find but just stay on hanover street near the travel lodge on opposite side. Monkey balls fab xxx

Really tasty food and friendly service. We particularly enjoyed the Amaizeballs and the halloumi nuggets but everything was really good. Portions were generous and food was freshly looked.

A really fiemdly crew and fsb food, service was great and the waitresses were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble and we were served efficiently and quickly which was great as we were off to a concert. Everything was well cokked and presented and the waitress helped when selecting drinks explaining about cocktails and helping us to dcide, full marks all round

Good casual dining with an edge! Our food arrived hot and was very tasty. We were given table initially behind a brick wall but staff were very happy to move us to a table ‘with a view’
