Recently refurbished and open late every day of the week except for Monday, Bistro Mokka in Leeds’ Crossgates is bistro and restaurant serving gourmet food and a fine range of drinks, over two buzzing lunch and dinner sittings. Located among the numerous shops and boutiques on Leeds’ Austhorpe Road, Bistro Mokka is close to Manston Park and conveniently situated near Crossgates station, meaning the bistro is very popular – and very busy – at peak times. Be sure to book ahead.
The newly renovated Bistro Mokka opens to an eager evening audience with a fantastic gourmet offering. Distinctly European and Mediterranean in tenor, diners are treated to chef’s choice starters such as three baby pancakes heaped with Philadelphia cheese, salmon, cream, with dill and a judicious squeeze of lemon. More distinctly sunkissed dishes include the grilled asparagus, gamberetti feta, and calamari fritto. A foundation of this Leeds Crossgates restaurant is the mouth-watering selection of grilled dishes, with the Italianate bistecca griglia topping the list – chargrilled sirloin steak served with house-cut chunky chips, grilled tomatoes with either peppercorn or sauce diane. Naturally, Mokka’s Austhorpe Road premises houses a well-stocked bar and cellar, offering fine wine and other forms of liquid refreshment to accompany your meal.
Visit Bistro Mokka with a friend on Steak Tuesdays and grab two chargrilled sirloin steaks and a glass of wine each at great prices. Burger Wednesdays offer up two homemade beef, chicken or halloumi burgers plus a glass of wine or a beer for a similarly eye-popping price. There’s more on the menu yet. Guests are treated to numerous gourmet options: pollo pecorino, seafood linguine, grilled asparagus, lamb chops and much more. Take a gander at this bistro-restaurant’s menu if you’re looking for fresh options that are bursting with flavour – the steak melt hot wrap and the mushroom ciabatta pizza are two of our favourites. A popular hotspot on Austhorpe Road in Leeds’ Crossgates, Bistro Mokka keeps locals fuelled with delicious cuisine. Be sure to reserve your table online in advance – and don’t to forget to mention those special deals!
We recently visited Leeds and we were looking for somewhere to eat on the evening that was reasonably priced, had good food and a friendly atmosphere. We certainly found it at Bistro Mokka. We reviewed the feedback by previous people and they were all correct in there evaluation. The staff were very friendly and engaged in conversation with us, the food was beautifully cooked and the pricing was reasonable for what you ordered. We will definitely visit Bistro Mokka again on another stay over in Leeds. Well done to the staff.
First time myself and my husband have tried this place doesn't look much from outside but this just shows you should not go on first impressions food really good . Great service value for money went on the recommendation of the orange pud for desert and was not disappointed would encourage anyone to give it a try it will be added to our regular list
We had the early bird menu and it was lovely, we had the chicken skewers with chilli dip and meatball starters then chicken with mushroom, cream and white wine with fries and pork Dijon with sautéed potatoes was gorgeous and to finish off chocolate fudge cake and ice cream. Definitely would recommend
The service was quick, very nice staff, would go again, highly recommended, nice place, very clean & a cosy setting, prices were reasonable, lovely house wine
A very pleasant surprise, this place. I had always assumed that it was a Bert's cafe type of joint, but acting on a recommendation I found that it has transformed into an excellent local eaterie, offering a good value, albeit somewhat limited, unpretentious menu, and excellent service.
Very friendly staff. Good variety of food on main menu and specials board. Good value early dining menu, with options such as pasta and salads that can be added from main menu to give plenty of choice. After this weekend changes to opening hours - see website.
Absolutely lovely restaurant, great staff, amazing food and great value for money. We came on valentines day, it was so special. Thank you highly recommend and will definitely be back xx
