Main courses (lamb kofta, lamb shish) excellent - meat tender, great flavours. Starters we had (stuffed vine leaves, white bait) a bit ordinary, just ok. Service friendly and quick, lively atmosphere. Toilets need improving. Overall though a very good experience, recommended.

An excellent venue to spend time with friends. The food is tasty but come with an appetite - the plates of food were huge! The waiters were excellent, looking after us beautifully. I cannot recommend Hisar enough. I have been there before and will go again soon. Thank you, Hisar! Daniele

The lamb was so hard I couldn't eat it. Both the Lamb and the Chicken could do with some more spice, the flavour was a bit bland.

On a cold, windy and rainy night 4 friends enjoyed beautiful food, starters and main, that made the evening very satisfying. The atmosphere and the very polite waiters all added to the experience and just cemented Hisar as a favourite eating place. Thank you.

Visiting a new restaurant when you're Gluten free can be rather daunting, and on this occasion it wasn't reassuring. We sat at our table and I asked the waiter which menu items were Gluten Free. He looked at me, puzzled, and sent another member of staff over. This member knew more, it appeared, and told me that none of their Starters were Gluten Free but that their fish dishes, chicken or lamb shish, and their steaks section were. The food itself was reasonably priced and large portions. There is a large menu with lots of choice, for those with no dietary requirements. However for coeliac and Gluten Free people, I would certainly not recommend Hisar.

Great food & service. Very popular. Only complaint was the truly awful ceiling lighting. My friend has glaucoma and the lights were so bright they hurt her eyes.

Hisar is our favourite family restaurant! We went for an early Friday night meal after our two young children asked to go there as a treat. The food was, as always, delicious, and the staff were as attentive as ever, and really helpful (we had our newborn baby with us too). Thanks Hisar!

Very enjoyable meal with quick and polite service. Fresh ingredients and well cooked. Good wine list and excellent desserts and coffee. Well worth a visit.

Lovely ambience , like being on holiday in Turkey . Charming staff . Fresh tasty food prepared and cooked over chargrill in view behind a glass screen . Very good value . A favourite for all our family !

Although the food was as good as it ever is, it was a little disappointing that the high chair that was requested wasn’t available as all were in use and even when one became available it wasn’t offered making it hard to enjoy the meal completely as having to tackle a 8 month old to sit still isn’t easy

My parents soup tasted like baby food, and the lamb was very fatty also the only this on the dessert menu we wanted was not available But the people where very nice and welcoming.

Always get good service, nice atmosphere and great food at Hisar. We have been been going there since it very first opened many years ago!

Food was nice and the service was efficient. There was a pleasant surprise of a belly dancer that was very entertaining. Only thing that let the experience down was the cracked seats.
