8848 Restaurant

Can't fault the food, only real issue was that instead of being sat downstairs where the atmosphere was - we were ushered upstairs to the over spill area. This was even after making a reservation ahead of the meal....

Excellent food and atmosphere. Would highly recommend to anybody, a real hidden gem. The food was simply delicious and a welcome alternative to traditional indian food.

Excellent food. Each dish tasted delicious and fresh. The staff were attentive and the prices are reasonable. I would highly recommend a visit to 8848.

Only had mains, but the food was absolutely delicious, and very flavoursome. So good that we are going back in March for second helpings ! Highly recommended.

We had an excellent meal and the staff were helpful and friendly. We felt it was was a little on the pricey side for Indian style food.

I love 8848. The food, the service and the atmosphere is fantastic. My wife and I were there for our Valentines night out, it was a Saturday evening and it was very busy but at no point did we feel that we were waiting too long for our food, or drinks. I had the lamb shank for a main and it's really good, meat is so tender and for anyone that is put off Indian food because of spice, this has almost none, just a background heat... Yum, wish I was there now!

This was y firs5 visit to 8848. Excellent food! Great service! Friendly attentive staff without being intrusive. Highly recommended and I will definitely go back.

Staff could not have been more helpful. We knew what we wanted and they made the dishes exactly as we wished. Very tasty food which you can taste even when it was very spicy. Far too often heat ruins everything. This definitely does not. We be back very soon.

Everything was really excellent - ambience, friendly service, quality of service, a good menu and excellent quality of food. Very pleased to see Nepalese food on the menu.

It was a great restaurant with fantastic service. I went with my 9 year old who just loves a curry. She loved it especially the towels at the end.

Good restaurant, with lovely food and very friendly helpful staff. Downstairs has better atmosphere but when busy upstairs is slightly quieter. Very central location, I would certainly recommend a visit.

Friendly, attentive staff. Very enjoyable meal which was nicely presented. Beautifully decorated, clean restaurant, Hot hand wash tissues were a nice finishing touch. Would eat here again.

The most delicious indian/nepalese food I have ever tasted! Served hot and with great service! Try the King Scallops, very tasty! The King prawns in coconut milk were superb!

The food and staff were lovely! My partner doesn't enjoy too much spice but I do and we both enjoyed out food! The smoked cottage cheese (paneer) starter was delicious and a non-spicy option! Will be visiting again in future!

Great food, but we felt rushed out of the restaurant at only 1030pm as the staff appeared to want to go home so early. Will definitely go back.

Love this restaurant. Staff all friendly and helpful and the food is yummy. Went for the tradiational Nepalese meal and couldn't fault it. Definitely recommend.

The service was good but the food was a little disappointing. We both tried Nepalese courses from the menu and they were very similar though described as completely different. Good atmosphere and overall not a bad meal.

Easy to book using Quandoo. 8848 fantastic restaurant with sublime food. Staff attentive without being overbearing. First time at 8848 and definitely won't be our last.

We thought both the service and the food were very good. The only issue was that one of the deserts we requested was not available as was a second option.

Went there for anniversary meal on quiet Sunday evening. All in our party were unanimous in thinking the standard of service and quality of food was outstanding. I had the mixed fish platter for the main course which was amazing. Will certainly return in near future.

Went on a Friday night - group of 4 guys. Portion sizes a little modest, but great food, service and surroundings. Definitely be going back

I was very impressed with the quality of the food and the service. It's also a very nice atmosphere. Generally a very pleasant experience. Would definitely go back.

Food was excellent, however had a 1 hour wait for it! Busy Saturday night so didn't expect it immediately, but the fact that they kept letting more people in when they were struggling to cope didn't help.

Excellent food and Service. Was confused why website didn't allow us to book a table at 6pm (only 5:45pm or 6:15pm) as restaurant was very quiet.

Enjoyed another great evening at 8848 with delicious food and great service. The staff really looked after us and helped select some mouthwatering dishes from the menu.

Another great visit and enjoyed their high quality meals and drinks. A shade rushed from course to course but we got them to "slow down" a bit. We will return next time we visit Aberdeen.

The food and service are always top notch here - keeps us coming back, as does the Golden Everest beer which you can't get anywhere else.

Excellent food and nice atmosphere. Also very pleasant staff. If I had one little complaint and its one I have in lots of restaurants is that we had to ask for water twice. Funny as the alcoholic drinks arrived quickly.

8848 is probably the best up scale curry house in Aberdeen. Good menu choice with Nepalese food as well traditional curries. Service is also excellent.
