Delicious food, reasonable portions, nice ambiance, pleasant service, though initially a little slow. Desserts are over-priced. There was a mistake on the bill, which was quickly corrected. All told, a very enjoyable meal.

Travel problems meant we arrived late, but staff were friendly and welcoming. Our meal was delicious - the sauce on my mussels was amazing. Pity we live so far away!

Food was very underwhelming. My mussels as starter didn’t taste of much but watery cream. My main course of lobster raveoli had a sauce which was just pure white double cream. Very sickly with no taste of a lobster bisque at all. Also ordered a very good and pricey red wine which was served in the ony size glass they had which is really a white wine glass. Disappointed.

The food was excellent but we had to wait over 90 mins for our table, shame as overall we had a lovely time. We will return to see if this delay was just a staffing issue on the night.

Al Porto is in a great location by Hull Marina. The food was excellent, not cheap but value for money. Very good service, staff there when you needed them but "not in your face". Birthday lunch, thoroughly enjoyed.

We were 20 minutes early for an 8.30 pm table for two in a restaurant that was nowhere near full. Within 10 minutes we ordered a main course each and were served past 9 pm! Large portions didn't compensate although the service was good and, without prompting (as if t were needed), apologetic.

My first visit to this restaurant on Wednesday 12th July, 2017 and it will not be my last! Lovely greeting as we entered and invited to sit in the most comfortable waiting area where there were some amazing tables - giant corks!! Overall a magnificent evening - Food = 5*; Customer Service = 5*; Ambience = 5* What a way to celebrate my 50th Birthday!!

Food well presented. Some wished they hadn't ordered a starter as generous portions. Desserts looked nice but none of us had after our starter and main course. Had to ask for bowl to rinse hands in after peeling prawns and steak knives arrived after main courses had already been out for a few minutes. Due to being on the Marina prices a little raised. Relaxed venue.

Excellent food, very authentic Italian. Very good value for set lunch, but kitchen service very very slow. The restaurant was quiet but it still took 30 minutes to first course and another 25 minutes to main course. Not a place to go unless you have lots of time on your hands.

It was an average night n one if staff wasnt very polite. We went there a year ago and its not as good as it was....

Great food, but somewhat dated menu comprising of items that would not be out of place in 1976 such as Steak Diane and Glack Forest Gateaux. The surroundings are ok, again a bit dated. I'm always dubious of a place that needs to post the local newspaper review blown up to A2 size in a frame within the restaurant itself. Staff are extremely friendly.

Can't knock the food it was very tasty ...... Only thing was we arrived at 19.30didn't get seated till 19.50 . I wouldn't say it was packed it is a small place and looked normal for a Saturday night . The wait between the starter and main was around an hour wait we had to remind the staff that we were waiting for our main which took a further 10 minutes... service was ok nothing special .

One of the waitresses was quite rude and abrupt; not something you expect in a restaurant. My dish was not as described by the manager. My wife's steak was tough and chewy; again, not what you expect when you're paying good money. We were recommended this place by a friend. Very disappointed.

Starter and main were lovely; I had goats cheese and then meatballs. The dessert was very disappointing however (chocolate cheesecake). The service was very slow: they took 20 minutes to get drinks and then they came and were wrong! The staff didn't seem to know a lot about the dishes which made it hard to decide on food. They then charged us for the wrong meal so we had to get a new bill.

We visited this restaurant last night for the first time with two of our best friends we found it very welcoming Three of our party fancied a main course as a starter and this was done for them as a smaller version which we all thought was great service The food was excellent with service with a smile. The house red was very nice and a t a good price The staff definitely aim to please We will visit again soon

Unfortunately our visit to Al Porto was very disappointing. It took 1.5 hours from ordering to receiving our meals, which were not up to the standard we had previously. They halved our bill, which indicates how bad the experience was! A real shame, as it had been good on previous occasions.
