Truly excellent Food and Service - totally befitting the Michelin two star rating of the restaurant. Everything just about perfect. My only minor quibble was the £450 price tag for the Premium Wine Pairing (beyond my budget sadly). However, that aside, an absolute joy to behold.

Absolutely stunning food, great service and impeccable service from the staff

Alex and his team (notably award winning sous chef Ben Miller) produce delicious, unusual and intricate, dishes with complex combinations that delight the eye and taste superb. We loved Alex’s cooking for many years when he was head chef at the much missed Greenhouse in Mayfair. It was super to find it transported here to the Cafe Royal and find it is every bit as good as it ever was. As we always have, we went for the lunchtime set menu because it offers great value, and the chance to try dishes one might not have chosen for oneself. It was fabulous. We’ll be back.
