One of the best looking restaurants around. Great atmosphere Not even avarage food. sorry to say If Alma de Cuba would pick up the food standard it would be a place hard to beat
When I came they told me that they had to close for some strange reason ..they send me at some hotel and i was not very happy about the food.
Not as good as it used to be... I got a little bit of glas in my drink, and felt that it was not taken seriously..
Great place awesome atmosphere á perfect place for a saturday night out went there with my 20 year old daughter and we both had a great time
We were rushed through our meal in order to free up the table for the next sitting. We didn't have a dedicated member of staff so we're asked every few minutes if we were ok or needed anything ... excessive and made us feel even more that we were being rushed through. Generally not a great experience although food was great.
A little bit expensive for the type of food they serve and the portions are small. However the environment is nice although the music was a little bit loud.
Excellent Sunday lunch experience in a lovely venue with great atmosphere
Lovely food, fantastic venue and staff, great entertainment, only issue was waiting for our table for 30 minutes or it would of been top marks.
so much for the dress code and the hen partys the salt and pepper arrived at the end and the food was cold so we wont be back or recommending it to anyone THANKS
Excellent food and fast service. Surpisingly quiet for a Thursday evening, but a good atmosphere and will be definitely coming again next time we are in town.
Great staff, good food but the Gospel choir needs to turn down the volume a little as the sound is distorting when it bounces off the solid walls. Sometimes, little is more.
Beautiful food. Arrived hot and well presented. Efficient service. Waitress very attentive but not in anyway harrassing. Well looked after for the evening Thank you 😊
Poor table location. Would like bottled tonic to have with the gin, not really keen on draught tonic. Slow service for drinks when we first arrived. Mezzanine floor had a lot of drinks spilt on the floor. I guess this was due to being short staffed. Petal show was smashing the dancers were very friendly this really made the night. The interior looks grand.
The staff were wonderful : good service, courteous, efficient, welcoming. The food was good and all requirements catered for. The only fault was with the volume of the music. We could not hold a conversation as we could not make ourselves heard over the sound. Please thank Kevin particularly for his excellent service.
Great place, great service (thanks Andrea and Lucia), great food! Cocktails are sweet, the overall is a bit expensive but definitely worth the moment. Next time we will come for the Sunday brunch with choir. On Sunday night, atmosphere is cost and intimate.
The restaurant was cold and the food average and expensive for the portion you got. Very overrated restaurant for a Sunday lunch unfortunately. . .
This was a birthday treat for my Mum & what a treat! The experience more than exceeded expectations. The afternoon tea had a good selection of sandwiches and cakes, the staff were friendly and accommodating but the best part was the Cuban dancers, they were fabulous! I highly recommend this. The most fun afternoon I've had for years!
Beautiful restaurant and bar with genuine, helpful staff who seem to really want you to have the best experience. Great service. Great atmosphere. Great food and drink. Just great!
Fabulous building! We visited for the Sunday lunch but Gospel singers were late on and food not warm. Would return but without such high expectations.
Mixed reviews about the restaurant. The decor was stunning, the Sunday afternoon gospel singing was really enjoyable and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food, however, let the restaurant down. I had the lamb which was nice, but my friend ordered the fish which was bland, and the meal came up on the small side with only one type of veg as an accompaniment. The desserts were the worst part of the meal, 'chilli chocolate brownie' that didn't taste of chocolate at all and mango cheesecake, which tasted more like a mousse and not sweet enough, we were both disappointed. Overall I would recommend going for the experience, but this is what you are paying for rather than the quality of the food.
Waited 45 mins for a roast dinner and it came out with two roast potatoes, two small slices of beef cauliflower and broccoli and a Yorkshire pudding for almost £15 each. When paying the bill I passed the money to the waiter who looked at the money and said do you need change? I think it is very rude to ask this. He then came back with the change and threw it on the table in a box and walked away. Terrible service.
Fantastic venue with beautiful food and amazing dancers. What more could you ask for. A must for anyone visiting Liverpool as we were. Thank you for a brilliant night. We will be back!
Amazing place. We went on a quietish Monday night for our anniversary. Staff were excellent, food was delicious, could not fault anything. Would love to go back on a weekend to see the show.
Great atmosphere, loved the gospel choir. Good efficient service. Starter was nice. Main a little underwhelming. Wine and price good value. Not quite as sharp as it used to be but still has its charm, hopefully will pick up again soon.
We go to the Alma De Cuba quite often. We were very disappointed the weekend. The menu had changed and prices increased. Don't know if it was because it was the National weekend but we didn't stop.
Great food , great service and a lovely atmosphere . would definitely recommend this resturant but advisable to book in advance . Will be back if i'm ever back in Liverpool .
Sunday lunch for 6 . Looks like an ordinary white painted building from the outside. Entering the building you walk into a beautiful renovated church. Seated on the balcony level overlooking what would have been the alter to watch the gospel singers. The waiters were friendly ,polite and efficient. The food was great. We all ordered different from the menu and we were all satisfied with our meals. What more could you want on a Sunday. Good atmosphere, good food and entertainment.
It is a great restaurant, with good food, great staff and a perfect environment. I would visit this place again! It was also very cozy with candlelights everywhere
Had the best time! From the moment we walked in til we staggered out! Can’t wait to return.Staff food And music and dancers all amazing!
The food was absolutely fabulous. The cocktails wets to die for and the ambience wa fabulous ,only thing that’s letting the venue down are the toilets , seriously need to upgrade your Loo’s !!!
Great evening with good service and a brilliant atmosphere. Thanks to everyone!
Gospel Choir very good, food good, service awful...£130 for a 4 person brunch, order went missing over an hour from ordering to receiving food..complained but didn't seem too bothered.
Beautiful setting. Attentive staff. Delicious food. The wine and cocktails were amazing and we the staff were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!
Excellent food and service 😁 Will definitely be back. Couldn’t fault any of it. Attentive waiters and even a free cocktail for my friend who was celebrating her birthday 🎁
The staff are really good. The place has lots of character. Sunday lunch was ok. There was a lovely gospel group on, which we loved, but perhaps they don’t need amplification as it stops all conversation.
Food was not what expected we where told we could only have set menu and wasn’t informed about this until we arrived which was two late to change also about 5 out of 7 people ordered rump steak which was frying steak so thin that he told us we could not have medium as it was far too thin also everything was covered in oil I would not recommend it and would not return again service was not the best either even tho there was only us and one other table in the building
Really enjoy coming here when we visit Liverpool. Food, drinks, cocktails, place, atmosphere and staff excellent
Ambience 4 Service 4 Food 0 Food not well presented at all, overcooked, flavourless. I should have chosen a different restaurant. Would not visit again.
food was really nice, friendly staff, great night would go again
Our waitress was lovely, the right level of attentive and friendly. The food and cocktails were also very good, the atmosphere is prefect for a friendly or romantic dinner, the tables are well spaced with a view over the bar.
Amazing place to eat and drink first time I went was Saturday and loved every minute great staff very friendly and always there if you needed them quick service no matter how busy it was lovely atmosphere can’t wait to go back.
Amazing place and food It was a Great atmosphere The staff were great, Ive been before and I defiantly would go again! It’s a must.
All our food was cold , we didn’t complain as we didn’t want to return our food . The waiters were lovely and friendly and helpful, but we still felt uneasy at sending food back.
The food was nice but it wasn't anything special for the price. We had already decided that we wouldn't be going back before the food had even arrived though. The staff were unwelcoming and were borderline rude.
Someone from the table next to us (hen do) was sick on our table & the floor next to us, service wasn’t great & no one compensated us for the situation that occurred which we did not expect at a restaurant of that reputation.
💃💃 fabulous evening. Just visiting the wonderful city of Liverpool and this club continues to deliver. Food, staff & entertainment all very friendly..... we were impressed, we danced to tunes we knew !! Mixed with current club mixes we didn't !!! ... put smiles on our faces, when our feet were throbbing!! We were recommend by a local ... it's a must !! X
Food very disappointing !!been a few years ago and was lovely, that’s why we rebooked. Ordered shrimp starter and king prawns were served in a very bland sauce! Chicken hanging kebabs were not hanging just on a skewer and the meat was very dry, not worth the money certainly won’t be back unfortunately
This place could be really special. It has sold out to hen parties. The food was awful and service shocking. The dancers were good and the atmosphere and music was great but very loud.
Went for Sunday lunch ,the restaurant was not full by any means , asked if we could sit on the other side , the greeter said no ! quite rudely , then said enjoy your afternoon ... Food was good though , wouldn’t rush back because the greeter was so rude
Lovely setting, disappointing food. The wrong order was brought out, and when my eggs Benedict came, they hadn't bothered to toast the muffins, so it was cold and stodgy.
