Quite limited menu compared to last visit although good quality. Noise levels of music too loud for our table of six people which made normal conversation difficult.
Great food but sadly, terrible service. Was ignored for most of the evening and when ordering freshly squeezed orange juice I rather got a bad-tasting orange juice from a carton. That said, the pork with bacon dish was amazing and the venue is nice.
Loved the gospel choir soulful voices. Lovely way to spend a Sunday. Food was wonderful and the service was very good. We will be defintely coming back again.
We booked in advance and were shown to our table on arrival. The service was prompt and attentive and the food was delicious. We look forward to our next visit.
A delicious brunch, accompanied by a fabulous choir, and excellent cocktails! Will definitely be returning on my next visit to Liverpool. The venue itself is nice and staff very friendly👍
Dave the server made the eating experience a good memory. Would honestly recommend ro anyone who comes to Liverpool. The bar ia also very good
It was lovely the food the service a really nice night.staff very pleasant and could not do enough really enjoyed the eveninig there would definatley go back .
Service was very slow 3 1/2 hours to serve two courses. The food had mixed reviews the steaks came with no sauce and no option to order any so where quite dry. The vegetarian meal was delicious as was the Pork wrapped in Ham. The Red Snapper was bland and tough. The ambience was as always lovely.
Beautiful setting, staff very attentive, lovely experience overall. Slightly disappointed that the lunch menu was a bit limited, but will certainly be going back again!
Excellent food and outstanding value for money using a woucher voucher. Will be going again - particuarly when they have music on. Great surroundings in the old church.
The main issue was 1 of the party had disabilities therefore we were unable to sit in the restaurant and had to sit in the bar area for food - he food wasn't hot just warm because they had to bring it downstairs. The waiters were really lovely but we waited for everything and felt forgotten sitting downstairs. In this day and age this is unacceptable they should have a lift . As this was a birthday celebration it was spoilt , I had emailed ahead to tell them 2 of the party was disabled so they should have been prepared
The Wowcher deal was very good value for money. Lovely food, it was a nice setting in an old refurbished church and the staff were attentive
Amazing meal, music and atmosphere the waiter was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble The steak was the best we had ever had 👌👌👌
Excellent food great entertainment and cocktails fantastic night out Everyone in our group six of us had an absolutely fantastic experience we will be back
Great service awesome food. Really enjoy Clean friendly staff, great ambience. Relax enjoy reasonable price Great service awesome food. Really enjoy Clean friendly staff, great ambience. Relax enjoy reasonable price
Very reasonable with voucher, nice place and atmosphere. However be aware have to pay a extra charge for steak, which my sister chose to do, when it came it was very small. I would not have paid full price but good with voucher.
Good food in a lovely setting service was good and samba ladies very good. The ladies attended each table and interacted with us overall a very pleasant afternoon.
We had a wonderful evening celebrating my birthday. The service was great and the food was fantastic. As we were having a relatively early evening meal midweek, there wasn't much atmosphere, but everything else was wonderful.
Great venue..good food and drink... Now for the but... Service slow and have to be reminded of things...first meal sent back because of salt overload!...overall though really good.
Wow where do I start?!? Amazing restaurant. The food was so tasty. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be paying another visit next time I am in Liverpool
We love the Alma de Cuba; we go annually during International Beatle Week; it's packed, it's vibrant and noisy with great Fabs music all day, and fantastic food and friendly efficient staff. Not cheap, and not huge portions, but different everytime we have been with a thoughtful menu selection. And I assume it's as great the rest of the year.
Excellent experience, customer service and atmosphere!! Booked for a bride to be and bridesmaid treat!! Staff couldnt do enough for us! Food was fab too! Would highly recommend x
Fabulous dramatic room. Really excellent charming staff. Great food. (My rare steak was a little on the cool side, but girlfriend's medium rare was fine.) Cuban dancing girls were spectacular - friendly and fun. The petal shower was a fun party touch. Lively party atmosphere. Music was too quiet and bassy during the meal (it needs to be re-equed whilst it's quiet).
Just a great time, staff, food everything spot on from when we arrived to leaving. We had only ever been during the day before, different place on Saturday night, will book again on our next visit.
Food very disappointing.Last year had set menu for the Beatles day event and was great. This time was a la carte with little and poor choice of dishes .On the plus side staff were very attentive.Unfortunately wont be eating there again unless better choice and quality of menu befitting the standard of the establishment is available.
We were at alma de cuba for the beatles international festival it was very busy! We'd definitely make a return visit - the jerk chicken was amazing.
Food was fantastic and the cocktails are amazing!! Would definitely recommend and looking forward to coming back very soon!! Everything you could possibly one in a night out!
It was a beautiful building for a restaurant cocktails delicious. The food ok. Just a bit bland. Chicken wing starter we're not crispy skinned and just covered in BBQ sauce and my steak for the price, was thin, more done then I'd asked (rare- it was medium rare at best) and very underseasoned. I asked for a glass of wine to have with my steak, but it didn't come and had to ask again so I was finished my meal when it was brought. Also only one ladies toilet upstairs and no loo roll. My husband and son enjoyed the red snapper and sea bass and my son had sweet potato and chorizo which he said were very tasty.
Atmospheric Cuban restaurant in what was originally St Peters Catholic Church. I went during the Beatles International Festival and there were live bands on stage inside and out in the beer garden. Food was great, especiallly the pulled pork starters.
We had a lovely night. Fabulous food and great service. Staff were very friendly. Dancers were friendly and entertaining. Would definitely recommend a night out here, petal experience was great too. Fantastic experience.
Have visited Alma de Cuba several times with amazing experiences every time. However this time the food quality and atmosphere lives up to expectations but customer service was not the best. Disappointed compared to previous visits.
Service was very slow staff took too long to take our order we had to ask for them to take our order not good sitting around !!!
Fantastic place in itself and the food was amazing will defiantly be back its got the real Cuban feel an set in an old church is brilliant.
The Gospel Sunday brunch was amazing. To eat in such beautiful surroundings while listening to the fantastic Gospel singers is an experience i would highly recommend.
Our party had a Great evening, the entertainment was fantastic with brilliant dancers and music. Certainly didn't disappoint and we will be back soon !
Disappointing. Service was quite poor, brought the mains out before the starters and forgot the sides. Also food was salty and inedible. Staff were apologetic and gave us the meal free with a 50% discount if we decide to return. Nice venue and settings but quality of food and serice let it down.
The staff were really friendly and the food was lovely. It is a beautiful old building, well worth a visit, we will go again . It has a lovely atmosphere.
Alma de Cuba is a really nice restaurant set in an old church, which gives the place a great atmosphere. I had the sirloin steak which very nice and cooked perfectly medium-rare as I had requested. My girlfriend had the seabass which was also very nice. After dinner we had a drink in the bar downstairs which is also very good, and they serve good cocktails.
Great argentinian sirloin, great atmosphere, nice people who served us it was a minus with the toilet on forst floor, but I will recommend the place
