We went very early so were the only people in there (that's a plus as far as I'm concerned). Food was good and not expensive. Would definitely go again.

A varied menu, eclectic wine list and a friendly welcome. If you enjoy Turkish or Greek food you will feel right at home here, especially if you are fond of lamb! I'm not surprised they remain in business after nearly fifty years. I will return.

A lovely welcome and, knowing we were short on time, the food was promptly delivered. We had the Armenian Banquet which involved a wide range of very tasty and nicely presented dishes.

This is one of Manchester's best kept secrets. From the minute we walked in we were made very welcome by the staff who took our coats. The menu is unlike anything you will see anywhere else in town with unique selection of dishes. The food was great, the service was great, the atmosphere was great. I much recommended place to eat.

Loved this place, gorgeous food, friendly and attentive staff, cozy atmosphere, some dishes are a little pricey but they are still delicious, also Kid's meals are way to big for little ones, could do with smaller portions. Overall, enjoyed our meal, would love to go back.

Quaint atmosphere, excellent banquet gave us a real taste of Armenia. Only down side was being admonished when we did not eat all of the many starters.

The restaurant was tucked away and was really quiet but staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. The house wine was very good value at £8.50 for a half carafe. The best thing about the place is definitely the food - the portions are huge and it is all very tasty. I would recommend the mixed grill or the minced lamb with pitta and fried egg, and definitely the meat mezze for two to start (we actually shared between three and it was plenty!). Overall this is a hidden gem, I would definitely go back.

We have been to this restaurant on a number of occasions. The food has been excellent on all visits. The staff are really friendly and helpful. It was also the first time of a couple who were dining with us and they have said they definitely want to go back

Amazing food, friendly service, and delicious cognac. We ordered the 10yo, but they had run out, so let us have the 15yo for no extra charge, which was a real treat.

Great Food, unique Underground Location. Service was warm and friendly. I had shashlik kebabs which were delicious. Borscht soup was indeed tasty as well. Recommended

Dated décor but that shouldn't detract from the excellent food and friendly service. Will be returning soon to what is something of a hidden gem

We tried the cold vegetarian mezzeh and it was very good. The restaurant have large selecton of char grilled meats, fish and vegetables, you can see the chef through a glass window all on steamy smoke doing his work. The char grilled marineted lamb chops I had were very well seasoned with herbs or marinated. It was nicely cooked with nice chunks of meat and still juicy. Wine was tasty. A kind, attentive , helpfull staff. We asked for a swap of potatoes for cus cus for grilled salmon in marinated cabage (very nice) and it arrived flavoured with some herbs that gave it a citrus like taste to go very well with fish. We had a table for two, which was medium-small. The staff managed well to keep it tidy all the time. Background music is probably modern music of respective area where the cuisine comes from.

The service was good, the lady who served us cheerful and helpful, and the food was excellent. The house white wine was good, but the red only ok.

Splendid food, efficient and friendly service. The ambience is a real blast from the past, but it works. And discovered the amazing Georgian lemonade. Will definitely make this a regular visit.

Arrived 45 minutes late for a pre-theatre supper, due to a motorway foul-up. Staff and chefs were excellent, both in the speed with which they served our first mezzeh and then the main meal, and the quality of the food. Instead of an hour and three-quarters for supper we finished up with less than an hour and they were great at making sure we didn't miss the start of the play and didn't finish up with indigestion!

Friendly staff, huge portions of pretty good food. Mixed meze starter was delicious, better than mixed kebab main. Vegetarian mains were slightly disappointing. Good selection of unusual wines.

Pleasant atmosphere, good service. We chose the sharing platter for 4 people, the food was tasty, the starter was nicer than the main, will probably try an individual dish if we go again.

We visited this restaurant on 11th July - a return visit for one of us but a new experience for the other. We were given a warm welcome. The service was excellent and the food brilliant. I have never been disappointed at this atmospheric 'taverna' & will certainly be returning, as will my friend - a new convert!!

We were the only people in the restaurant at lunchtime. Waiter spent whole time on laptop and mobile phone arguing with a supplier. Casual service. Stale lavash bread. Mezze poor. Little meat in the so called meat version.Very poor experience.

Friendly staff, nice ambience and delicious food. We were a group of nine people, all fully satisfied with our dishes. We shared a vegetarian and a meat platter with bread as a starter, which we enjoyed a lot. All main courses (varying from vegetarian cous cous to lamb goulash) were served at the same time, well cooked and delicious in flavour. Finishing off our meal with baklava, tea and Armenian coffee, we concluded that this restaurant is a place to visit again.

Excellent food, but slow service. The restaurant has been renovated since I last went. I think it has lost some of it's charm as a result, but many people will prefer the more modern design.

Excellent food and friendly staff. Made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble from help with choosing food to being offered samples of wine.
