Bistro Saigon

A lovely restaurant - the food and service excellent, our table was ready on arrival, the atmosphere was great - buzzing but not too noisy. The staff could not have been better. Highly recommend it!

Freshly prepared food, loved the green Thai curry and the desserts are top notch. I tried the pavlova which is delicious.

Great food. Good value for money and no complaints about service. All good. Preferred upsrairs part of restaurant - light and airy. . The downstairs was a bit enclosed.

Great food and service. Only slight negatives were the portion size of the side rice and noodle dishes were quite small. And at the end of the meal we weren't told straight away that we had to go upstairs to pay by card, so were left sitting downstairs for a while before someone realised. Overall though, a really good meal!

Very slow service. We were ready to order but told we couldn’t as other tables had ‘sat down before us’. Utterly bizarre. We were left waiting for 10 mins for our place in the queue as if we were in McDonald’s. Food was ok but took ages to arrive. We sat with our dirty main course plates for about 25 mins before we flagged someone down to remove them. Awful experience made worse by the waitress regaling our complaint to the manger in full view of us and all the staff staring over at our table with dagger eyes. We’d invited friends from Manchester to come for a meal, I’m so embarrassed we brought them here.

Great experience. Gluten free and vegan options not a problem. Everything was fresh and delicious would definitely return. Had the 2 courses for £15 at lunch time. Good value for money.

As always, the food was lovely and the staff were pleasant. They accidentally gave us a more expensive wine but only charged us for the one we ordered.

Fantastic food & great service with a smile by a great team. Such a treat to eat there - great team effort. Busy without being too overcrowded and loud.

Had very high expectations as bistro saignon is so well reviewed. Overall it was a pleasant enough dining experience. starters were a bit disappointing and bland (specifically the veggie spring roles). Mains were tasty, but nothing exceptional. Service was a little scatty (we didn’t get given food menus on arrival and had to ask for them later and got charged for the wrong size wine order etc). Overall a pleasant enough experience, somewhere I would go back to, but am not itching to go back.

Great food. Sat downstairs in a cosy room. Staff very professional. I know some people have said the service is slow but we didn't notice (but we weren't in a rush either). Would return and recommend.

Bistro Saigon is my favourite restaurant in Ilkley. Therefore I chose to celebrate my birthday there with friends. We had a wonderful lunch , the food was amazing and the staff were very attentive and polite. Thank you so much for making my birthday so special :)
