Bistro Saigon

The staff were all very friendly and the atmosphere was laid back and welcoming. Food was delicious- we shared the belly pork and roast duck - both very good.

We enjoyed great food in a pleasant environment. The sharing platter of 5 starters between 2 people is good value and a way to try several items from the menu.

The food is to die for! By far the best restraunt in Ilkley! Service is also great nothing is too much bother -a visit is highly recommended

Having tried to get into Bistro Saigon as a walkin a number of times we have always been told you need to book two weeks in advance. I booked on a Wednesday for a Saturday evening reservation with no issue! Sadly, not good. Atmosphere was poor, staff trying too hard to be 'cool', the person taking our order could barely crack a smile. The younger waiting staff were great and very good natured. Liked the fact that you could choose your own mixed starter platter, food when it arrved tasted great alhtough could have done with a larger portion of rice. The bill came to over £100.00 for three.....so not a cheap night out by any stretch. And there is the issue.....some good things to say, some bad and if the bill had been a little more reasonable, I think it would have been easier to overlook the problems. We just felt deflated and ripped off....back to Pintoh it is then....much better all round.

Been a couple times previously and it is always an enjoyable experience. The staff are lovely and knowledgeable about the food. Booking is a must for this restaurant as always seems to be busy. Our only criticism would be that the time we waiting inbetween courses seemed along time but would not stop us from revisiting.

Staff very warm friendly and helpful. Food absolutely delicious with a wide range of both vegan and vegetarian options (I got the marinated tofu and was one of the best vegan meals I’ve had). I would highly recommend.

The welcome and service were great. The menu has a good amount of choice with Gluten Free options that suited two of our party. The food was delicious. Highly recommended for a quick lunch of more leasurely dinner.

We had a great lunch at Bistro Saigon and it was fantastic value, two meals for £15. Excellent food, service and a lovely atmosphere .

Great food, freshly prepared, lovely pace of service and friendly staff - we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and would definitely recommend this restaurant- we will be back!

As always, the food is delicious. Freshly cooked with quality ingredients. The helpings are generous and the service very friendly and professional. We will be back again soon.

Another fabulous meal at BS. I really like this place as they serve excellent food at reasonable prices. Plus, it’s the kind of fare that I wouldn’t have a clue how to cook myself. The best restaurant in Ilkley - by far.

Amazing food but having booked for 8.45 and not seated until 9.10 - then no food until 9.45, bit disappointed. Staff were lovely but really shouldn’t take so many bookings if they can’t be managed in a realistic timescale.

Excellent food but service a little slow on this occasion although it was a busy Saturday night. Have eaten here several times now and the food is always amazing.

Service was really slow, 1 hour for starter to arrive and another for the main course. Rice was way over cooked and was more like pudding rice, all food was really greasy. When we were asked if everything was ok, we explained the above and the server said that the microwave must be on the blink and they’d inform the chef of the issues when they weren’t busy.

When we turned up you get a great welcome the waitress was very attentive the first course was fantastic full of flavour and the main was wonderful can’t fault it what a great place will definitely go back 👍❤️

My friends and I had a lovely evening at Bistro Saigon. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was simply fabulous - unfortunately we had no room for the delicious sounding puddings - we will, therefore, be back! Really lovely restaurant

Unusually poor service on my 5th or 6th visit. It started when we arrived & we’re asked to have a drink at the bar - there were 4 of us and all except me were served their drinks (and all of us got water). I had to ask twice for my g&t and eventually got it when we were at the table. Our waitress was young & inexperienced - I ordered ‘steamed dumplings’ & she asked if I wanted them steamed or fried. Empty glasses & bottles piled up but nobody took them til we asked. And best of all - as she whisked away the dessert plate - do you want your bill? Dumbfounded, we said pardon? She repeated, do you want the bill, or are you just chillin? Great food as ever & worth the wait (it was busy) but the service was bad.

Great ambience, friendly staff, lovely food. Went on a Saturday evening after the cinema, it was very busy so good job we booked. Would definitely visit again.

Food and service excellent. Bistro Saigon opens at 6 and we had a show to watch at 730, so it was a bit of a rush. But, the staff knew this and were very attentive. Four starters and four mains, with drinks (and a well deserved gratuity) cost us £100 - well worth it. It's our second visit, and won't be our last. The restaurant is well placed if you're attending any event in Ilkley, although you'll need to research somewhere to park; there are plenty of unrestricted side streets if you want to avoid paying.

The food was utterly divine. And we ordered lots of it. Staff were very friendly and helpful when making menu choices. The popcorn chocolate bomb was super.

On arrival we informed the restaurant that we were in a bit of a rush due to a last minute change in the time of another appointment afterwards. They said that they would mention it to the Chef and we managed to not only have drinks, mixed starter for two and main courses within 40 minutes without compromising quality or service, and still made our appointment afterwards. A+

Bistro Saigon, well it was my 3rd time at this restaurant and I have to say that the food, ambiance and staff are all fantastic. Well worth a visit...

I believe our order was lost as the starters took an incredibly long time to arrive, however we were offered a round of drinks to compensate and the food was amazing as always!

Fabulous food , freshly made which makes it extra nice and the food is consistently good , the service is always good ! And good value

Quite good restaurent for a dinner out. Could have more ethnic vibe if they could. Overall recommended. Parking is a bit of a tricky so if you are not driving you will be fine.
