Bistro Saigon

The service was excellent and the restaurant was really busy at lunchtime. Food was amazing, tasted really authentic and the prices were excellent. The portions are huge - maybe consider sharing if you don't have a large appetite!!

Lovely meal at bistro Saigon over the weekend. Tried the yellow curry this time which was packed full of flavour. Would highly recommend the sharif platter to start as you can sample various starters (which are all fantastic!)

Was recommended by a local, so went along with hubby. Unfortunately it was anything but romantic; they placed us downstairs in what felt like a painted cellar. The area seems to be used for larger groups and families with young children. Despite asking for another table, (as a young child was regularly kicking off), they said they had none. It was 6pm; we'd booked in advance; the place was only half full. The food was tasty and fresh, but I'm afraid the ambiance spoilt it for us. When you're booking, ask to be in the main bit upstairs.

Great service and food for our anniversary meal out. Lots of choice including vegetarian options which were delicious. Can't wait to go back as soon as we can!

Great food - as ever - particularly sea bass with mango and mouli, beef salad and red duck curry. Also recommend pineapple and sage crush. Excellent attentive service.

Bistro Saigon is the only place that I can highly recommend without a doubt. Simply the best! You made my daughter's 16th birthday a memorable one. And my mother in law nearly leaked the plate! Lol! She absolutely loved it! Demolished everything! Thanks a lot for the staff, 2 thumbs up guys! Keep it up! See you soon. X

Visited for the first time and had a lovely meal. Food was really good,staff very friendly. We were sat in the smaller room at the back which was a little hot at times and because of where the air conditioning unit was positioned (just head height above another table) was only turned on intermittently. But would still highly recommend just request a table in the main seating area. 😁👍🏻

Lovely restaurant with a great menu, lovely tasty food and a vibrant and friendly atmosphere. Would definitely recommend a visit when in the area and will be returning.

Another awesome meal. First time we’ve visited for lunch, and it’s just as fantastic as dinner. One of the best restaurants I have ever visited anywhere in the world.

In a town full of fabulous restaurants this is one of the best. The food is always fresh and fabulous. Quite busy even in midweek which is always a good sign. Service very pleasant, atmosphere ranges from bright in the front, cosy in the back and spacious downstairs. Something for everyone. Menu is brilliant in the way it shows all the options for coeliacs and nut allergy sufferers, all at a very reasonable price . Give it a go, it's worth it.

As always, excellent, tasty food. The fresh flavours and the quality of the ingredients make every dish a delight. The gewurztraminer was wonderful. Best thing to drink with Vietnamese, and other Asian, food. Only slight annoyance was the young waitress who was overly keen to get us to make up our minds and order. Her slightly pushy manner struck a wrong note. Hopefully it was just that she was new to the job. Overall though Bistro Saigon didn't disappoint and it continues to be my favourite Ilkley restaurant.

Wonderful staff, wonderful food with a wonderful ambience. Downstairs is a little too warm In the current temperatures? Nevertheless the staff are more than accommodating in sourcing your requirements. I will continue in my business as this place is so accommodating with the quality food to boot, I can’t see what’s not to like. I took my mother here for her birthday, my wife and I and mother couldn’t downgrade in anyway as the expectation was as per previous visits! AAA+++

Brilliant from start to finish. Knowledgeable staff, delicious cocktails, and exquisite food. My only criticism is that we were sat in the basement that was very pretty with the fairy lights but very hot and quite claustrophobic.

Food is superb, service is excellent will be returning next time in Ilkley what more can be said other than make sure you go A+++++++++++

This is the 3rd time my wife and I have been here it was my mother’s birthday so I thought what a nice surprise for her and she loved it and so did we great and friendly service as soon as we walked in to when we left and the food is fantastic so fresh we will be back ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Consistently excellent food from a good menu. The Baked Alaska desert is wonderful so leave some room for it!Necessary to book in the evenings. Service can be a little slow.

Food excellent and catered for gluten and diary intolerant. staff lovely and friendly, great atmosphere. Only downside was delay to be seated and long wait for food to arrive.

Excellent food, service was a little slow we arrived at 7.30 did not finish dinner until 10.30 with two children. Food portions excellent, all in all a great night.

The food was outstanding, alongside the waitress service! The chef cooked my daughter’s favourite meal even though it wasn’t on the evening menu. Very impressive!

From the minute we walked in the door, the experience was amazing. Good service and excellent food. I had tried to book a number of times previously but they were full. Now I know why. The dishes were so full of flavour and well-presented and the meal didn't cost the earth! This was our first visit but it will not be my last. Well done everyone at Bistro Saigon.

Disappointing is how I would describe this visit to the restaurant.A disinterested waitress that put a smile on at the flick of a switch and food where every dish was over cooked. It may have been a one off, but a let down all the same.

I tried Tofu and Aubergine for the first time ever as a starter. It was incredible, how Loc makes food taste like that I will never know. My son dislikes both foods but he actually finished the plate off!

The food was absolutely amazing. Me and my girlfriend are both vegan and the choice was great. It was our first time there and we will definitely be back.

We visited here on Saturday and the service was Excellent as was the food! I would definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant! The mixed starter platter was an excellent choice.

The food was excellent, presentation, taste incredible and the team were amazing very friendly and engaging. However, my only disappointment was that we were downstairs and the noise from 1 particular table was incredible and we could not hear our other guests on the table.

The food was absolutely amazing, the squid especially was lovely, but the service was sadly very slow, felt like the restaurant was too busy for the staff to keep up.

Another fab meal. Great staff who are attentive throughout the meal. The Thai green chicken curry is one of the best I've ever had. Lovely with the noodles and egg fried rice
