The staff were lovely and the chef was very accommodating! The food was delicious and fresh! We made a special trip to Folkestone to re-visit this restaurant as we had such a good experience the year before - we weren't disappointed, we were very glad we returned.
Really great service and attentive staff. The food is excellent, fresh and the servings just right. A nice atmosphere on a Sunday too, with a very talented Pianist playing in the corner! Will definitely come again, one of the best restaurants in Folkestone.
Food was lovely, but not what we expected. We looked at the menu on the website prior to our visit, after asking why the dishes we had seen on the website we were told they were not an option and that the menu had been changed. Apparently the web designer was on holiday which was why the website wasn’t correct! As I said, food was lovely but the service could of been a lot quicker...we were there 2 hours and only had mains and coffee!
Everything was very good and at a fair price. The waitress was polite and helpful. The place was very pleasant and there was no loud music!
Most enjoyable lunch - great value for money and pleasant service. The harbour in Folkestone is also a great location with easy parking nearing by.
Mothering Sunday was made very special at Blooms with excellent food and a fabulous pianist. We will be returning soon and I would recommend to all.
Excellent food and service, a very enjoyable evening and would definitely recommend Blooms. A perfect ambience and the waitress service was also excellent, value for money.
Amazing food, the set lunch menu is very good value. The GF bread is brillant. The portions are generous, we couldn't manage desert, maybe next time.
amazing food. great service, lovely atmosphere. Food was to die for. We will most certainly be back and we will tell all of our friends how good this place is. Exceptional.
Food was excellent and waitress very helpful with any queries we had concerning food and sauces. First-time of trying scallops for my wife but cooked to perfection and very tasty. Excellent steak for me. Well worth the money and will return.
Food was lovely and service was great! Would definitely go back
We had a lovely meal (as always) in Blooms celebrating our sons 20th birthday. Tried the 'full' roast lamb and wasn't disappointed. Would definitely recommend.
Dinner here for Valentine's day. Greeted on arrival shown to table which had a single rose on and a pack of love heart sweets. A nice little touch. No set dinner, orders from the normal menu. Food was very nice. Ox cheeks that melted in the mouth as did the rump steak. No room for dessert. Warning dont order the sharing bread to start unless you have a big appetite. Its rather large but very tasty!!!
We came here Saturday 10th February. The food was lovely as always and cocktails too the service was great too, we always love coming here it's always friendly and relaxed and will be back soon.
Very enjoyable evening lively without being crowded. Enjoyed the special valentine touches of a red rose and love heart sweets. Waitress busy but kept close observation of our table.
Very good - friendly welcoming waitress, lovely food nice atmosphere. I will be back again. Oh dear I need another several word or it wont add! But it is very very good do try it!
Not great really, food very salty and atmosphere lacking. At the end of the meal a waiter referred to his co workers as "the girls" when asking if we had been "looked after". It's 2018!?
Defiantly will be back. Lovely atmosphere, staff were welcoming and friendly and the food was bloody lush. Can't fault it one bit. Folkestone needs more places like this.
We had a lovely time at Blooms. We could not have faulted the food or the service. We both had the mussels, each with a different sauce and they were amazing and cooked to perfection. Can't wait until our next visit.

Booking on line was easy. food was great and well cooked. Helpful regarding wine. Staff were friendly. Did not feel rushed, allowed to take our time.
the food and service very good the catalan fish stew was great we will definable come back again the atmosphere was very good Keith and Mary
We had a lovely evening. Great menu with more to try on our next visits. Also there was helpful service with smiles. Free parking after 6 just nearby.
Excellent choice and food. Spoilt a bit by charging for stuff we did not order. A genuine error, I feel. Overall very good and sensibly priced
The food was average and the service was slow, very disappointed as it was my first visit and it’s not somewhere I’m going to rush to go back.
Nice food and the waitress service was good.....sadly the kitchen were swamped even though the restaurant was not particularly busy, so we had to wait a long time for our meals to arrive
The Food was good and the Service was also very good. The People that are Wirkung there are Nice and trie there best for good Service.
The staff and service were great. Lots to on the menu to choose from. Food orders was delicious. Will definitely be coming back for more. 😃
Very friendly staff, lovely food. Only issue was that it was really cold in the restaurant, particularly the places close to the windows. Good experience overall.
Food is not the best. Overpriced for the food quality that you get. Nice atmosphere though. Also, it's advisable to book online. I called the restaurant directly and was told that they didn't have tables available, but have managed to book online instead. Weird...
Fantastic restaurant, service and food top notch, shall now use regularly as Folkestone also a good day out. Look forward to our next visit soon.
I went along to Blooms last week with my partner and we started with some very nice taramasalta and homemade bread which was shared and enjoyed. The next courses were mussels and chips which my partner and I both chose. The mussels were cooked to perfection, although a little smaller than before, there were more of them to compensate. Really delicious but failed to say that the Mariniere came with cream, which as a lactose intolerant person, can be a problem but they got eaten nontheless. The chips were huge and chunky, again very well cooked and tasty but we felt it would have been better to have the authentic thin fries. Overall we couldn't fault the cooking and taste of the food, the main problem at Blooms, as has been the case several times before, is the length of time to get served. Get that right and you'll fill all the empty seats around us that evening. One suggestion for the restaurant is utilise the bar area more by advertising light bites with cocktails and wines eg oysters and champagne/Prosecco, artisan breads, olives etc, things that are quick to prepare and can make extra money on??
Waiters were very helpful and enjoyable to talk to, food was also amazing, would recommend again to my friends and family, hope others decide to go
