We arrived early but were seated straight away which was great. The restaurant was clean and contemporary and the staff welcoming. I received a free mocktail because I had mentioned I was driving and the others ordered wine, which was a nice touch. The food itself was delicious. On a less positive note, only half our starter arrived, we had to ask 3 times for a jug of water, and after we had eaten (we took quite some time as we were chatting - but the restaurant was almost empty) we felt rushed to pay the bill and leave. We were asked if we wanted the bill, then asked if ewe wanted the card machine a little later. We paid but my friends still had som wine to drink. A little later we were asked if we wanted to pay again! We went to the loo on the way out. When we came out of the loo, the lights were off and the staff were stood at the door with their taxis waiting.

The food was lovely, really nice environment and good selection of drinks. We were a little disappointed with the selection of vegetables on the Sunday lunch menu but when we mentioned this the staff gave us a free desert which was unexpected and great service. Will definitely visit again

Great Sunday lunch. Friendly service from all of the waiting staff. The chorizo and crayfish tail risotto was absolutely sensational and the chefs should be very proud of that dish.

Too dark inside , staff friendly to adults but clearly not pleased our Grandchildren were there (ages 2 1/2 - 6 ) food ok. There were 21 of us at our table so we spent quite a bit and we're still charged 25p for a glass of water ! Also tried to charged for a starter that hadn't been ordrered and I pre ordered the food ! It was nice of a member of staff to ring and let me know my daughter had lost her bracelet and they had put it in the office for safe keeping .

I ordered a starter of calamari, prawns and scallops - no scallops 😢 The extra calamari & prawns were ok - but because I asked for it to be served with my friend’s main course, the price was increased. I was not told about this 😏 I have to say that although it was pleasant enough it didn’t warrant the £5 price hike ! Dessert was nice but incomplete as the Italian Meringue was missing - the chef’s blow torch was broken ! Overall nice food but over-priced in comparison to other eating establishments in the area. I have eaten here before about 3 times, this was not the best of my experiences but I won’t be unkind, the food was not unpleasant just not wow! Should have followed the waiter’s advice and made a different choice - next time will do 😉 The service, restaurant and wine were excellent 😊

Excellent setting, food good value for money, soup could have been a little warmer. Parking easily available. This would be a good place to showcase Middlesbrough.

Expensive evening meal. Wasn’t given the steak/pasta deal as the pasta ordered was from children’s menu. draught lager not available, was charged £4.50 for a bottle of peroni. Poor value for money all round.

Popped in with my daughter after we'd had a busy gym morning! Decided to just have a light lunch - but impressed with the offer of a 2 or 3 course meal completed in an hour for those on a working lunch! Impressed to see a nice selection of sandwiches and hot dishes, serving the local lunch market too! We both enjoyed a leisurely, tasty lunch with attentive service. My daughter treated me and I got the loyalty points - win/win!!

It’s always a pleasure to visit Hudson’s Brasserie. Good, friendly service. Meat served pink as default - instead of the usual over cooked, well done, tasteless cardboard served elsewhere - because there’s no demand for rare roast beef. Barbarians!

Meal was cold so had to send it back which then affected the flavour. Disappointed with quality of food compared to a visit several months ago.

Lovely Fathers Day lunch at the Brasserie. Had a vegetarian friend with us who loved the mushroom risotto. It was supposed to be a starter but we asked if it could be a main & there was no problem. Puddings were fab!! My mother in particular enjoyed her very large portion of sticky toffee pudding.

Excellent meal, but as usual, nobody there. Why? First, there is no atmosphere, maybe due to lack of customers. Second, every time you go, the staff have changed, no continuity, no friendly, familiar faces

Excellent meal and service but expensive. Only complaint was Pil Pil prawns were not true "Pil Pil" as in Spain i.e. not sizzling in garlic and only 3 prawns for £12! But overall a good experience and would return

Disappointing. Beef was poor quality and overcooked possibly the way it was regened. Excepted more imagination than peas and carrots for veg. Yorkie looked good but the batter hadn't been seasoned which is a basic error. Great crayfish starter and excellent light sticky toffee pud Good risotto too Great roasties and friendly service
