There is a craze for putting anything possible between two slices of bread and calling it a masterpiece, but at Brgr Kitchen in the Farrar Arms in Grasscroft, they are the real deal and then some. They take the simple structure of the classic American burger and reinvent it with a huge range of toppings and fillings, different breads, sauces and salads. We’d recommend going to the most nuts end of the spectrum: The Donut Burger, with two beef patties, streaky bacon, tomato aioli, cheese, BBQ sauce, all of which come on a donut. Yep, a donut. Throw in a few hot dogs, a range of wings, thrice-cooked chips, salads and vegetarian options, plus a huge range of craft beers, wines and an extensive rum bar to savour. Take a trip to Grasscroft, on the edge of Oldham via Oldham Road in the direction of Greenfield, for a family meal to remember at Brgr Kitchen. Remember to book a table now though, as they do get quite crowded on a occasion – and it isn’t hard to understand why.
