We had a wonderful meal at this little hidden gem, a small but very authentic Italian restaurant tucked away in Leith. The host Mark and all of the staff were really attentive and could not do enough for us. We had a 3 course meal which was beautiful and be warned plentiful. They serve a wonderful pre-dinner drink prossecco mixed with lemon cello. We had a bottle of the house red which was lovely. The only criticism we had was that it was very warm in the restaurant however Mark assured us that he and his partner had only just took over it was on his 'Jobs to do list'. We did have a shock when we received the bill as it came to £50 which we thought was outstanding value for money! If you are in Leith we would definitely recommend the Cafe Domenico for a meal but our tip would be make sure you're hungry :-)
This is a little gem tucked away in a side street off The Shore with a great atmosphere. The food is great and reasonable priced and the staff are lovely.
We had the fixed price menu: starter, main course and dessert. The meatball starter was delicious, but main courses were disappointing. Service was erratic. Even though the restaurant was not busy, a drink we ordered was not brought until we reminded the waitress about 10 minutes later.
Went here for lunch. Food was good, the service excellent and all for an extremely reasonable price. I will definitely be visiting again and will recommend to others!
Excellent and cosy atmosphere and food! I really loved this beautiful place and definitely will come back! Already recommended café Domenico to my friends and family
Lovely Italian restaurant with attentive staff, nice atmosphere and great food and drink. We both enjoyed the specials main of Chicken Nduja with sweet potato mash-yum.
Excellent food, quick friendly service and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended and a hidden gem in Leith. Not too expensive and worth the money. Definitely try it.
Very small and cosy restaurant, excellent food, very generous portions, superb attentive and never intrusive service. that was our first visit and we will definitely be back
Fantastic food and friendly helpful staff. We had a fantastic evening. Definitely recommend this restaurant for couples or families. Fabulously relaxed atmosphere. Can't fault anything.
Lovely restaurant with friendly service and a good menu. (Now filling the gap as the system won't accept a simple response) recommend you try it
This was a lovely evening with fab food, excellent service and all at a reasonable price. A friendly wee place near to where I stay so I have introduced a few friends to it all of whom have enjoyed it as much I do! I'll definitely be back!
Lovely food and friendly efficient service. We had the haggis pasta and the Seafood stew, which were both amazing. The portions are large and the house wine was very good indeed! :-)
Absolutely Great. We will be back. Good ambiance, no crowds (or Children!) House wine is excellent value, and comes in a convenient 1lit. bottle! Cheers!
An intimate and beautiful little restaurant in a lovely setting. The service, quality of food and value for money was outstanding. We will definitely be returning.
Service was amazing as was thestablished food. Wine was really nice and a good price to. Will recommend to family and friends Definitely will be back.
As usual the food was delicious and reasonably priced and the service was really friendly. I would definitely recommend the chicken stuffed with spicy sausage.
Love Cafe Delmonico. Family run. Always great service and food. Ran out of their excellent olives though last night. Had the delicious fish stew, which I could not finish as so plentiful.
The food and atmosphere is excellent at cafe domenico. The staff were very accomindating for my grandma who has a gluten allergy and she was able to taylor her meal for her needs. A lovely time was had by all and we left feeling very full due to the gemourous portions of tasty food.
We love Cafe Domenico. It is an authentic Italian restaurant with a great atmosphere, friendly staff, an interesting menu and great food at very reasonable prices. What more can I say?
At the risk of ruining this wonderful local Italian haven for Leithers, fabulous food with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. There are no second sittings here and no need to rush through your meal, a delightful all night venue for a relaxed, lively and continental evening.
excellent quality and value. staff friendly, helpful and efficient. happily adjusted menu items to suit dietary requirements. would certainly return and happily recommend to friends,

Very friendly and efficient service. Great selection of food, including some excellent 'specials' and very good value for money. Can't recommend Cafe Domenico highly enough!
Great restaurant, I live locally and go there often. Service is very personal without being intrusive. Family run italian place that serves fantastic food. Very reasonably priced too.
Lovely fresh food, with great service. Their take away sandwiches are awesome too. Its a great place to remember to go to as you cant see it from the main road.
Love this place food is excellent and cooked fresh . Tony is a charming and funny waiter . The girl behind the counter is lovely too .
Very good food and excellent choice, big helpings and friendly efficient service. I look forward to returning and thought the lunch menu also looked good.
Delmonico's is, in my opinion, a better than average Italian resturant. I had told my niece that their risotto was very good I was a bit disappointed that it was not on the lunch menu. However, the waiter checked with the Chef and he was prepared to make us a risotto which was delicious. My husband had a haggis pasta? which he said was delicious and my nephew had pork Milanais whe was also well received. What with delicious starters and the final coffee our lunch was excellent.
A little gem just a stone's throw from our home tucked away from 'restaurant row' which adds to the overall feeling of being in the back streets of an Italian city. The food is delicious, generous and authentically Italian. Only the generosity of the portions prevented us from trying the deserts this time but we'll be back once we've fasted for a week to complete the menu!
Haven't been for a while and it is as good as we remember! Excellent and efficient service, food fantastic and fairly priced. Great choice of specials although I opted for the squash filled pasta which was delicious. Highly recommend, it's a lovely little place 😀
Excellent meal and very friendly service - we all much enjoyed our food which was well prepared and presented. There is a very nice ambiance in the restaurant
