Fabulous food and service - will be returning. Great choice of menu and daily specials. Particularly enjoyed the mackerel starter. Just one thing - not too much ice in the gin and tonics please.

We have been to this place a few times now and each time the food has been exceptional, the restaurant has a great vibe about it, the staff were very attentive, will definitely be paying another visit.

Food was great and th portions were more than ample. The staff were lovely and very friendly. The decor was nice, like a rustic Italian. I’d definitely go again.

Great food and service. Excellent value for money. Only problem I ever have with cafe lilli is the restaurant is always cold. Wear warm clothes when you visit.

Love everthing about Cafe Lilli. Great menu choice, the food is always delicious and the house wine is very good. Great atmosphere, stylish decor and friendly staff.

Top marks to the staff, the food was fine, but for the price I would have expected a lot better. A shame really because the restaurant has a lot to offer other than food, some great bottled ale, wines, etc. Review your pricing and you will be a sell out.

Lovely food, well cooked exceptional ingredients. Lovely atmosphere if a little noisy and difficult to hold conversation. Service is slow, but they do warn you that it is slow food, and cooked freshly which is why it is so good

Excellent meal - superbly cooked. Delicious! My husband loved the oysters, but not the granita - but then he chose it! We often go to Cancale in Brittany where he always enjoys the oysters there, and he said that the taste of the oysters at Cafe Lilli was just wonderful (once he removed the granita). He loved his steak and I LOVED both my starter and main course. Unfortunately, we were too full to have a desert! Lovely atmostphere too, especially for a Tuesday evening.

Superb meal and service. Cajun haloumi was delicious and plentiful. A very welcome addition to the usual lunch menu. My colleagues beetroot risotto was also highly recommended.

This is a top class restaurant serving fantastic food and drink, we went along with a party of 6 people and had a great afternoon, food was excellent, the staff were really attentive

Cafe Lilli never disappoints us. The most special element is the creativity of its menus and cooking, which is combined with a special ambience and delightful staff. This evening was no exception. Lovely!

Best place in Teesside. Great place for food and atmosphere. Brilliant selection of fish and the specials are always new. Could benefit from more selection for wines.

Another great meal at Café Lilli. There are always a range of inventive daily/special dishes alongside a diverse main menu. Service was as good as ever. Place was buzzing on Saturday night and we hope to be back again soon!

Interesting menu with good choice of fresh local produce. New member of staff (1st night) worked with confidence. Good ambience to meet up with old friends.

The place and decoration are great. The food is fresh and creative, however some combinations are quite strange. The cesar salad was fresh but with too many type of meet (fish, chicken, bacon?) Overall a nice place to go.

Lovely place, gorgeous food and staff were attentive. This restaurant lived up to the good reports I had heard and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

A superb meal. We had the fixed price menu with paired wines (the Trebbiano was especially good) The restaurant provided a separate gluten free menu for the evening's selection of dishes for both the fixed price and dinner menu which was a nice touch (although the presence of barley on a GF menu points to either a typo or a lack of understanding of gluten ingredients)

Food tastes great and staff are friendly but it is so rushed. Within a minute they are wanting drinks orders, 3 minutes to meal order. Starters out in 5 minutes, cleared as I just put my fork down -and so went each course. When you order grilled sea bream you expect a fish not a small fillet for £23. Over priced, wine £5.50 for 175 glass, of average quality. Ok, but not special for the price

Fantastic food and staff very friendly! The ingredients are fresh and the food is tasty, the menu original. It is a good place for lunch and dinner, the atmosphere is relaxed but elegant at the same time. Go fot it!

Excellent meal, service and ambiance, reasonably priced representing good value for money. Have used the restaurant since its opening but the present level of food and service is probably at an all time high.

Great food as always but we were made to feel very rushed by the staff who wanted to get everybody out by 9 and go home
